Westbrook had 27 points. I watched the whole game and thought he had like 12.

Yep. That shot reminded me of Harden, Kobe in their prime. Speed, handles, footwork, separation, step back, elevation, dagger.
    yeah. i just said that.
Too bad porter’s shot didn’t stay down.
I’m proud of this young team.
    Very entertaining game

Helped soothe the sting of Astros loss.

    This is a good loss.

All losses are good losses at this point.

The Rockets had no business being in this game. Playing against a championship contender that beat them pretty easily last time.

But they competed, and that's all you can ask from a rebuilding team.

Tate showed why he was selected for the All-Rookie team last year.

Sengun got the start and the offense flowed smoother as a result.

And Jalen Green letting us know that the experiment is far from over.

Best game of the season so far.

To my meme squad brothers, I am sorry.

    To the doubters: BE PATIENT
    BE PATIENT
    BE PATIENT

How many times do I have to say this.

Silas in the pre-game and post-game interviews was asked about Jalen improving and starting to put things together. He basically responded the same way each time - that he doesn't grade players from game-to-game to see whether they're getting better. He said it's much better to grade players over a longer period of time like week-to-week or monthly. He said that the game-by-game grading isn't sustainable and you'll go crazy on such a small sample size -- it's much better on a larger sample size.

Glad we don't have knee-jerk people on the forum. Whew. :D

I'm so glad someone told Green to pass to Sengun at halftime.

There were so many times Green didn't pass him the ball when he was in better position.

Then when he starts doing it he gets a couple of quick and easy assists.

Typical Westbrook. Once he saw -20kg opponent he was all for the flexing cwalks yelling and "passion". Once they locked in on him it was angry faces and throwing a tantrum and missed jumpshots. Lakers not winning **** with him lol

Looks like it was a good game last night, gutted I missed it. Had a very early start today so I'll have to watch it later after work's done. Some good numbers there though.

Agree with everything you said except for the Lakers being championship material. I look forward to them imploding this season

Before the game, I was hoping for 10 fewer TOs than the previous game (10/31/21) against the Lakers.

We actually only had one fewer (24). We also had zero FT attempts in the 4th quarter. Driving into the paint hoping for whistles against Lebron and AD is wishful thinking. But winning teams and players find a way to get to the line. Zero attempts point to a lack of focus. And going 5 for 12 from the line is pathetic for a professional team.

The five TOs (see link) in the fourth quarter killed momentum. It's not one guy. It's all about a lack of teamwork and trusting teammates on offense. Most of our players drive looking only for their own shot with little regard for how their actions might put a teammate in a good position for a better look.

Sengun understands this crucial nuance, but he's turnover-prone as well (see link). Someone from the league would have to explain to me his two offensive fouls, which look like the rookie treatment.
    • In his first phantom turnover (at the 10:47 mark), Sengun surprises the King with a clever screen that James didn't see coming. Incensed, Lebron bulls through, but Sengun, like a grown man, doesn't take a dive, even though Lebron is sledding through his back. Lebron draws the moving screen call.
    • The second phantom turnover (at the 4:36 mark) Sengun makes a great off-ball cut and catches a smaller Avery Bradley on the rotation in the post. Sengun is whistled for using his off-hand to hook or ward off the defender. It's a typical call, but borderline at best. I'm not sure how Sengun can complete his move with Bradley learning forward pushing with his left elbow and reaching with his right hand. I guess the league just wants Sengun to absorb the contact and shoot the short hook earlier.

Tilman needs to hire 15 of them, one for every player on the team.
Dr Lucas and Silas obviously aint no good teaching people how to shoot.
