Funny you brought him up - I was reading this the other day and it gave me a hearty chuckle! https://tdalabamamag.com/2021/10/31/bill-obrien-meshing-defense-alabama/
Good, think Watson finally understands that it is difficult to trade a player that is rife with legal problems and complexities to one and only one team of his choosing??
Of course the Texans didn't trade Watson...McClain was one of the first folks to report that it was close to happening...by now everyone should know that the complete opposite of what pancakes reports happens...didn't he pick the Astros to win tonight? They are doomed...
Ok. Tell Watson he’s gotta provide a list of teams come the off-season or be prepared to play in a Texans uni next season.
Watson needs to get over his image self, and settle. I think he settles before his Deposition in February.
You’re wondering if the guy being sued 22 times for sexual assault who refuses to play anywhere but for a 1-7 team understands something?
The Texans don't want him to play for them though - if they did, they'd have played him this year (or made him refuse). If it comes down to a standoff, the Texans will blink first because they have no good options outside of getting rid of him - holding him means delaying the rebuild and paying him $40MM/yr. Watson has good options no matter what - get paid to sit around or get traded whereever he wants. At the end of the day, both the Texans and Watson know the Texans won't put him on the field.
