its so weird, but sadly predictable to see republicans and so-called conservatives cheering on literal treason.

ive heard the term "trump derangement syndrome" quite a bit these last five years or so, usually towards critics of trump...but the way i see it, the ones suffering from TDS are the conservatives, christians and republicans who, solely because of donald trump, totally flipped on all their core beliefs and principles. yall are now the official party of insurrectionists, violence and traitors. and it was one pathetic man-boy who got you to do it.

an entire political party and their propaganda network has become terrorist sympathizers who cheer on and make excuses for people who tried to overthrow our government. all because of their love for one person. its so bizarre and pathetic.

free speech does not allow you to yell fire in a crowded theater and it also should not apply to people who incite insurrections against our government and propaganda networks who try to justify insurrections.

trump and all his supporters are traitors to our country.

Reminder that our constitution and the laws written over the years are not designed for protecting Democracy from an overthrow of government from within. They are SOLEY focused on outsider threats. The 1st and 2nd amendment rights are there for an assumed threat of an aggressive Britain, or France infiltrating our government, enacting tyranny, and state national guards having the firepower to save our Republic. The Constitution also has first amendment rights so that if there is an attempt to overthrow the government from a hostile power, word can spread to gather support. These "FREEDOMS" were only given by the framers because they were paranoid about Britain taking back control of the US.

Given that our Constitution and the laws have been stuck in the mud, we are always going to be a powder keg for civil war, and coups. Because it is designed to protect against outsider threats, and the safeguards put in place actually HELP enhance the chance of insider threats.

All we have to do is convince two bought off Democrat Senators to abolish the filibuster to change our laws to protect against Civil War, and Domestic terrorism. The FBI and DOJ have their hands tied behind their backs, and Insurrectionists have free reign to organize as a terrorist organization to plot to destroy our Republic for their own benefit. It didn't work out for them in the Civil War, but because of this flaw in our Constitution, this is just going to happen again, and again and again every so often.

 

This is why I can't take right wing grievances seriously.

An entire race subjected to systemic police abuse, having their land stolen, being purposefully left out of economic growth opportunities like home ownership etc but lashing out over that is labeled "rioting and looting".

When conservative white people are upset that they are pressured to take a vaccine, it's all of a sudden tyranny to the level of believing a revolutionary violent war is justified.

The later is a victim of being coddled and being used to so much privilege that the slightest inconvenience is perceived as a tyrannical threat.

 

This is exactly what opponents of the Patriot Act warned about, that the powers would be used on American citizens.

 

my mom told me the other day that its ok to use violence towards school board members who are pushing CRT and said that they are teaching it in virginia schools. theyre not, by the way...but she believes it even though there is no evidence to prove that they are.

more and more i believe that january 6th is just the start of something much uglier thats coming very soon.
