Proves that Steve Francis can't play with another version of himself

Better defender and playmaker than Francis? I say no way to that

that’s just 1 game…a ton of really good, great, or legendary players haven’t had a 50 point double double, but I’m not about to act like KPJr is on a higher level because he’s had one

I sure hope one of them is better than Mobley or Francis. If Green is merely on their level, he's nothing more than trade bait while we try to find an actual superstar. If he's worse than he's a bust.

Francis, there's a reason his teams never even managed to top 45 wins. People have a higher opinion of him than he deserves because he was flashy and part of their youth.

Mobley could have been a pretty good 3rd option on a contender if he were on better teams that reigned in some of his bad habits, but you don't use the 2nd overall pick on supporting scorers.

Francis was not a good defender.

    And he could not switch.

Imagine Franchise trying to defend Lebron.

    No way in hell.

KPJr does not impress me on defense whatsoever. He had a nice defensive possession or 2

KPJr is a no way in hell vs Lebron for me too…bad defenders can have ok moments on D

If Porter Jr maxes out his talent, wouldn't he be Russ?

If Green maxes out = Durant
If Porter Jr maxes out = Russ

At this point Steve and Cat pretty easily, we haven’t seen very much of Green and KPJ together and from what we have seen it hasn’t been to good, at least not as of yet. Cat and Steve had there faults and short coming together especially on the defensive end but at least each guy knew their role and we’re naturally for the position that they played. KPJ is playing out of position in this offenses and is really a 2 guard, and he has been a turnover machine so far. And at this point Jalen has been inconsistent and still needs to add some weight

Why not just do KPJ vs Francis and Mobley by himself? The result would be the same with Francis and Mobley taking it, but it might be closer.

Steve Franchise n Cat Mobley games left me tons of fond memories, W or L they always gave all they had to us.
Not yet ready to compare them w/ our backcourt tandem today, bc if Rudy here would not allow players playing like headless flies.

Hard to tell, only one of the pairs has played together in a structured NBA offense so far.

Cat was a very good defender. Porter is pretty far away from that. Francis was the better playmaker although just as turnover prone.

I wouldn’t say never although I’m not sure why KPJ has regressed overall. His only improvements I’ve seen is defensive Intensity and 3pt game while his turnovers have increased and just about everything else decreased. Franchise had his own issues and inefficiencies but had more control then KPJ. Watched the lakers game and one example was KPJ driving baseline on lebron but just lost the ball. You just can’t do that in the pros especially against good teams. Too many senseless turnovers. No control. It’s mental.
