    Everything about that movie sucked 274 different levels of suck compared to the original.

    the original is one of my favorite movies of all time. Carpenter’s best. Didn’t even bother with the remake.

    Carpenter's is a remake. A great one, but a remake no less.

    ok, I got confused looking at @Buck Turgidson
    And @noize post. There’s 3 Thing films right? I’m familiar with the original from the old timey days but the recent Thing movie was not good imo. Is that the one Noize is talking about from 2011?

    usually when people mentioned the thing, it’s John Carpenter’s version. I don’t usually see people mention it as a remake unless it’s the one from 2011.
