I forgot to mention, I liked KPJ's defense on LeBron.

God this team is so frustrating, you see them brimming with talent and potential, but they need guidance to play good consistently...Not even game by game, consistency quarter by quarter would be nice for start. We either need a guide on the floor, in form of a capable vet playmaker, or a new coach.

They run the exact plays for green they run for Gordon. Gordon gets open because he knows how to run those screens better probably due to experience and probably strength too.

Whenever Green gets bumped it throws him off even off ball.

Plus I think I think Green did get a bunch of open 3's today, he just missed all of them

I also liked the defense on Lebron. It was refreshing seeing him step up to the challenge.

you're expecting too much of then way too early. You're expecting them to be 7 years veterans at the age of 21. Yes both have decent ball handling on them, but they will grow to be better at it as the season goes along. Look back in February and March and they will be much better than now.

Another reason I’d prefer to at least see Green at point is because of court angles. Green seems to struggle with this wing PnR and probably will until he can get his shot going.

but he’s better in a straight line … which I’m makes sense given it allows him to use his athleticism more. He looks more fluid bringing the ball up the court of rebounds as a ballhandler than he does when he gets it on the wing.

frankly I don’t want to see him getting it on the wing much anymore

the nice PnR with Wood was from the top of the key. Harden and CP3 also are/were better as top of key PnR initiators in my opinion.

it also coincides with Green being halfway decent at either the drop off to the rolling big or hitting a corner spot as a passer.

Again thinking back to summer league … he had a few memorable plays attacking from top of the key. Like that one where he kind of got stripped as he made his way through like 3 defenders but got it back and hit the acrobatic layup.

meanwhile KPJ struggles out of this top of the key action. He doesn’t have the athleticism speed wise to just get by his guy without a pick and even with a pick it’s too much dribble athleticism. I’d actually prefer to see KPJ out of wing action because it’s not so much about straight line speed type athleticism but more getting a little space and then using that size to bump and keep the defender behind you.

This is the only game he has shot this bad from the line. He was 71 percent coming in to tonights game. he was shooting better than last season so far. One game always changes a fans thoughts

I think Wall doesn't want to come off the bench. That's unfortunate, because he could at least break down the first line of defense. Augustine is too small and slow to do anything.

    Green
-This guy is very talented and is a SUPERSTAR in this league. His shooting is off but once he get settled(anxious) and set his feet he is a nice shooter. I like how he is trying to drive to the basket, he is a hard worker and he is going to figure it out.
    Porter
-Porter has nice handles, agility and size but he is doing too much. He is shooting much better this year but too many turnovers. I do not think Silas can control him. He is going to do what he wants to do.
    Martin
-He needs to start and Tate needs to come off the bench, great leaping ability, handles are getting better and very athletic
Putting Green, Porter and Martin together make this team very athletic and fast. Martin can shoot the 3's and very unselfish
    Wood
-Wood is just worried about STATS and think he is a star.

that weird ass play where they run the SG across the top of the leg to catch the ball almost facing away fro the rim… it works “better” for Gordon but still sucks. It’s a horrible play. I can’t think of in the perfect scenario what they think should alone? Your SG is catching the ball running away from and not even facing the basket remotely.

I hope to never see that play again. It’s horrible.

Honestly I busted out laughing watching the highlights in the middle of the night and my wife had to cover my mouth.. we’re so bad it’s hilarious.

I don’t mean to pick on green but he got outrun by 50yo Lebron even though he had a head start and literally got shoved into the 4th row by AD on a rebound it cracked me up.

Man people toss around Superstar so easily, I don't think we have a single star player on our team - yet.

More time for wood gordon sengun/kj and anyother guardwing combo we have. This looks to be our best 3 guys on the floor all the time - to have some semblance of a respectable nba quad on the floor.

We should milk PnR and hi-low plays with this combo.

    Exactly what I mean.
Wood thinks he is some sort of max type of player. He is doing too much, and playing very selfish at times.

KPJ in the other hand is playing out of position, he does not look comfortable in his new role. His body language just keeps getting worse. This KPJ point guard experiment is hurting Jalen when they are on the court together.

There's just so much to be said, it's best if we moved on from silas. He doesn't know what he is doing with this group

This roster construction is just awkward. None of our starters are good 3 point shooters. Yes, they might knock one down here and there, but they're not good at shooting them. How is it possible in the modern NBA to have a starting lineup without one, if not two, really good three point shooters?

Without reliable three point shooting we play every game at a deficit. I am hopeful one day that Green will turn into a good three point shooter. But the backcourt of Tate, Wood, and Theis is not good enough defensively to compensate for their offensive shortcomings right now. And unless we can get at least one of those three positions plugged with a good three point shooter and reliable offensive weapon, we will always suck, putting more and more pressure on KPJ and Jalen to score all the time or looking at bad play after bad play of Tate and Theis hoisting errant threes

Yeah it doesn't do anything most of the time. But they probably run it because it's so safe and conservative. It's like movement for the sake of movement. It's almost impossible to **** up a dribble handoff and cause a turnover

Yeah it seems like every player on our starting lineup are 20 percent 3 point shooters. No matter who takes it even when open is a damn prayer.
