His 3 point shot is like the highest arcing non accurate shot ive ever seen.

 

This game made me realize how bad the Lakers are playing this season.

 

Well they actually pass him the ball and let him operate.

I don’t think green and KPJ can work. Kpj isn’t a good playmaker and he wants the ball on every possession.

And when he doesn’t have it, Wood wants it. And when neither have it they just stand and watch.

There’s no one out there looking to get easy buckets through body and ball movement.

If he gets anything he has to create it all on his own and that a lot to ask of him right now.

He needs the ball more and he needs to play with guys who are more willing passers.

KPJ and wood are too consumed with trying to establish themselves as stars in the league instead of playing good basketball and Silas is too shitty of a coach to fix it.

 

Caught the last part of the game after the Astros win and man, the Lakers broadcast crew suck to the max. Calling them horrific is such an understatement.

 

I have confidence the shot will come. Aside from the frustrating passiveness, I've noticed that he actually has a pretty great feel for the game, especially for someone who's not even 20 years old yet.

I hope next game he keeps attacking Bazemore and Bradley. Can't let the fear of making mistakes stop you from playing your game

 

It really, really can and likely would.

 

I like the fight back in the 4th quarter and like watching the younger players grow and show something every game, but my god you are never going to win if you just give up easy turnovers that are avoidable. Sure you are going to have turnovers, but just some lazy passes and dribbling, can be fixed with more concentration. Worse thing is, the Lakers were not even good tonight and LeBron shot like rubbish

 

Yes it can. Green is Not a good ball handler! We saw that tonight.
Kpj is just forcing it too much. He's trying to get everyone involved and it isn't working out. Get kpj to be a score first mentality. Get real shooters around him and alot of those passes turn into assists. He's thinking too much. If he's going to drive just score. Alot of his turn overs are caused because he goes half way down then stops. Then tries to make a dumb pass.

 

I dont mind looking bad I just want to look bad with the young guys playing over the vets and getting as much minutes as possible. Thats my biggest disapointment this season. I expect the rookies and younger players to look bad I dont want to watch a bunch of vets doing it.

 

I would've rather been at work.

 

KPJ ain't ready for a full time of role. He has flashes here and there but most of the time he's just dribbling arimlessly until he turns it over.

Green doesn't make a lot of reads either, but he makes the right passes most of the time in simple situations because he's really conservative.

Either way neither can really be a PG. Green doesn't have the ball handling

At a minimum… as someone else has mentioned, the two of them shouldnt be on the court much together.

 

It's interesting. Was thinking the same thing. I'm 100% rooting for Green to be a stud that he will be. But he needs a chance. Silas has a literal job to keep, so he has to find a way to win games, even to the detriment of going full-on experimental. One solution is to have him come off the bench, another would be to have him go back to the GLeague to catch some type of rhythm. There is no rhythm to these games when we go down 20-30 and KPJ goes in rescue mode and Wood is trying to up his stats.

 

Only 6 games in, i think Jalen Green will find his shot once he is more consistently comfortable at NBA level. I think he is pushing really hard to become the scorer most of us think he will be and that is forcing him to take some rushed shots. Won't be long before he figures it out.

but who cares? He’s actually a better ballhandler in a straight line then he is from the SG position imo.

but again who cares. KPJ “seems” to be a better ballhandler but gets nowhere. At least Hardens dribble dribble got somewhere. KPJ is dribbling for 10 seconds and nothing happens.

KPJ at point isn’t remotely close to the answer.

Part of the issue is that I feel he needs to be featured more in an off the ball role. When EG comes in, they have him running through screens and **** to get him open shots, why the hell can't they do that for Green?!? Surely Silas can't be this clueless.

 

He has it but its just his second week in the NBA. I watched ignite a lot last year. He has not shown even a little of how he is. Even in his 30 point game he wasnt using his ball handling skills just shooting off screens. its just going to take some time.
