Tucker Davidson has an xERA of 6.04 this season albeit 4 starts. Hitters were crushing his fastball which is his most used pitch while his Slider and Curveball were excellent.

The xwOBA against his fastball on average would be the best hitter in all of baseball by a good margin, while well below average against the others.

If the Astros lose this year - Mattress Mack is banned from placing those stupidly large bets on them…. #Vegas

All major Houston teams are playing today, let’s see if we go 0-4. Already down 0-1 thanks to the Texans and about to be 0-2 because of the Dynamo.

Houston sports, you gotta love it

Should have been Tucker or Yuli 3rd but at least he moved Bregman down.

Marwin better not be the first pinch hitter again. I know he can “hit” lefty, but Diaz, McCormick, Siri, and even Greinke are all better options at this point even against righties.

I think Dusty has managed fine otherwise (outside of Siri not running earlier two nights ago).

A loss tonight will be arguably one of the most embarrassing ones. This guy hasn't pitched since June...

I really don’t think it matters. Our hitters will most likely help him out by pressing too much, just like the last 2 games. It’s all mental.

Whatever happens tonight, years from now looking back this will be one of the most amazing stretches of sports as a fan. 3 World Series over the last 4 real seasons and a title, incredible

The Ian Anderson game was the worst one imo. Our normal hitting approach of not K'ing on outside pitches was all that was needed to win us that game. Brantley in one inning swung at a very inside pitch that would've been ball 4. Bregman swung on a very outside pitch that was ball 4 too. Even if they made contact on those pitches, they would be weak due to how bad those pitches were.

Then Yordan and I believe Correa ended up on base, but then it was 2 outs at that point.

i guess you’re right. Weird that I don’t look fondly on the loss to NC State or Gtown. I also for some reason don’t look fondly on our losses to Bird and the Celtics. I can still be triggered by thoughts of the Buffalo loss. Im rambling though.

Ok. I gotta do Halloween with the kids. I am not gonna be able to be super focused on the game for at least the first few innings. This is for the best though. If tonight is like the last 2 nights I wouldn’t make it through.

Huh, Luis would be starting a game 6? Not Urquidy?

Dusty using Urquidy today at all would be dumb. He would be on short rest, and it's been proven time and time again the results from using starters in place of relief pitchers has been mixed.

I'm worried about the Braves having a breakout offensive game. You can't expect the Astros to win the next 3 games while keeping the Braves under 3 runs a game.
