So you think being against the Capitol police shooting an unarmed woman that was not an imminent threat to anyone is not being in favor of small government, liberty, and justice? As for the Floyd case, I just didn't think the case was proved beyond a reasonable doubt. More specifically, in my experience the actions taken by Officer Chauvin are not at all outside the norm of how police restrain resisting suspects, almost all of whom are none the worse for wear after the encounter. I think it was Floyd's personal medical condition that resulted in his death, not his restraint. The same thing happened to an obese Hispanic man in California (I don't recall his name, it didn't get much coverage) around the time of the trial. The same thing happened to Tony Timpa, who was a white man on cocaine. Having a compromised cardiovascular system makes struggling with the police while resisting detention a terrible idea. It is very hard to overturn convictions on appeal, so I would be surprised if Chauvin wins on appeal, but I wouldn't be shocked.
Yes. I don't think the government should interfere with private businesses and their interactions with their employees. I am not from Texas, so it isn't an issue I hear much about, but certainly it seems like something the state government has no need to involve itself in. If you want to mandate vaccines for employment, more power to you. If you don't, that's fine too. If you don't want to allow people in your business without a mask (or with a mask, for that matter) that should be up to the business owner.

    She was an imminent threat...
He sat on floyd's neck ...

You aren't a trump voter ( what are you lol) but your devil's advocacy shtick isn't working here either.
I suppose you are ok with mandate on women's body in texas.

    She wasn't and he didn't.
Babbit was an unarmed, relatively small woman climbing through a window into an empty hallway. There were multiple officers between her and any members of Congress. There was a whole tactical team just six feet behind her with rifles and body armor that thought she could safely be ignored.
Even during the trial they had to admit that most of the time Chauvin's weight was on Floyd's shoulder and/or back. They changed their argument from neck compression to body compression. Just watch the Tony Timpa video. It is pretty much exactly the same.
I am a Jo Jorgenson voter in 2020, was a Gary Johnson voter in 2016. It isn't devil's advocacy.
I think they should overturn Roe v. Wade as abortion is an infringement on the child's right to life. I think the Texas thing is pretty stupid, but there is precedent for a private attorney general to allow citizens or attorneys to sue in matters where they normally don't have standing in the public interest.
A is A, a favorite aphorism of objectivists. I don't know that I would call myself an objectivist, but I certainly agree with that principle.
    Thank you Latin Joe Biden.

Yes, they should all vote against the BBB bill. Not for this reason, but definitely vote against it.

Manchin just nuked the Social Spending and Climate Bill today. Manchin will go down in history as a great patriot who prioritizes the country over partisan politics. Even a fool knows that pumping trillions of government dollars into an economy that is already overcooked is economic malpractice. Inflation ruthlessly punishes the poor and seniors on fixed income. We should always prioritize the WELLBEING OF PEOPLE over partisan social objectives.

Youngkin is leading McAuliffe by more than 200k votes. Will they shut down counting? Power outage? Water line break? Locusts?

    Let’s go Brandon.

Boy if Mcaullife blows this one in VA tonight it's gonna be a total laugher in 2022.

Looking at the blue counties left to count I think he will pull ahead though. Especially if there's any mail ins yet to be counted.

    Thanks for clearing it up.

I have had high hopes for you and as a jino (jorgensen in name only) you have done a respectable job of walking the line.

It was clear that the January 6 breach wasn't going to stop and you saw one break it open only to have more come after. She was the first to breach the last area where the SENATORS OF THE UNITED STATES were and you somehow are calling it not an imminent threat lol. I can't take you seriously anymore. All this mind you on THE DAY THEY ARE ATTEMPTING TO CERTIFY AN ELECTION.

juxtapose that against the idea that Floyd was on the ground for extended minutes and was absolutely not a threat..choked to death. What a joke man. Like I said..high hopes for you but I just can't lol...

only in a jino disingenuous post would we see such gymnastics. You sound racist

I doubt it bro. Youngkin ran a masterful campaign, he’s basically blanketed the entire state. He’s over performing in many blue areas while McAuliffe seriously underperformed. The Dems turnouts was underwhelming. 90 percent of the votes are in, I don’t know how McAuliffe is going to catch up even with the absentee votes.

Youngkin can hoop and McAuliffe cannot dance. So there you have it.

I think it’s already being called for the CRT maga Patagonia vest guy.

It’s all about suburban white voters. They’ll go home to Republicans every time if the media gives them the socially acceptable pass to do so. It just proves the theories about the ignorance of this Facebook era.

Also proves Republicans would be freaking stupid to put Trump back on the ballot. The CRT message coming out of his mouth sounds like a reading of Meinkampf. Put the same message coming out of a milk toast padagonia vest wearing white dude and the suburban white voters flock to the polls.

Also McCaulif sort of sucks as a candidate. The guy has very little charisma or policy positions that latch on to voters.

Still a likely sign that Dems are going to get creamed in 22. They need to pass everything plus the kitchen sink this next year and stack the courts.

I’d also recommend Biden pulling an LBJ and announcing early he’s not running again if the Dems get trounced next Nov.
