I want to like Steve Sarkisian. But, this is the third straight week they have blown a double-digit lead in the second half. Inexcusable. At some point, he and Coach K need to look in the mirror. Yes, the players are to blame, too, but stupid **** like a fake punt on 4th and 11 from midfield in a three-point game is on Sarkisian. It also is on Sarkisian that Texas has scored 10 points or less in the second half for the third straight game. (I will say on 3rd and 11 that Sark designed a play that would have gone for a touchdown if the OL held up)
I’ve become so numb to this team over the last 10 years that at least that awful fake punt made me feel something. It’s astounding how bad this team is after halftime.
I’m to the point where I try not to care too much about UT football on Saturdays. Honestly, I would rather get my head kicked in every week than **** the bed with double-digit leads after halftime every game. At least with the former, I know the team sucks. The latter is just annoying and demoralizing.
What's that, 3 huge drops that cost 3 scores? Thompson pretty much did everything he could, Baylor shut down the running game, he had people in his face all day and WRs did that bullshit.

According to a poster on Hornfans that listened to the post-game radio show, Sarkisian called it. So stupid. So, today the WRs **** the bed. Against Oklahoma State, Thompson lets them back in the game before halftime with a pick 6 as Texas was about to get more points, and Sarkisian comes out in the second half with his same vanilla offense like he did in the horrendous collapse versus OU. Defensively, we fold like a house of cards in the 3rd and 4th quarters. I’m so thrilled we bought out Herman so we could actually take a step backwards and become even more of a laughingstock. I said this was a massive risk when Sarkisian was hired, and I have seen nothing to change my mind. Herman needed to go for a variety of reasons, but it’s one thing to buy out his final year when Urban Meyer was walking through that door and a totally different thing when you are doing it to hire Steve Sarkisian. Sarkisian was mediocre as a head coach at Washington and embarrassed USC by drinking with underage students and got fired for cause. All he did last year is what every offensive coordinator at Alabama can do right now: Score a lot of points because you are loaded at every position.
I don’t blame you, and I’m certainly not going to be that invested for the final four weeks of the season. I did watch the entire OU game and most of last week’s game, but I half watched this game, today. I knew as soon as Baylor got the ball back down 21-17, we were going to find a way to lose, yet again.
Not to mention that the back half of the schedule includes two home games against the Kansas schools. It’s gonna be very easy to get into DKR this November.
Still holding out hope for Sark. As bad as the defense has been, a competent OL probably wins us these games. That being said, these losses are on Sark though. I might be the minority on this but think some staff changes are necessary. One of the things that irked me with Strong/Herman was sticking to guys that were bad hires from the start. I like Sark’s initial staff more but I’m specifically looking at the Becton and Coleman as guys that could be upgraded.
