Last night was a huge game for Atlanta; if the Braves had lost, the series would’ve been all but over. I think the weather determined the outcome of that game. Houston not being able to take batting practice was very bad for them. Plus the Braves had a hyped crowd in a must-win situation. Being down 2-1 is obviously bad for Houston but they are one game away from being favored again. Greinke needs a “last gasp” type of game where he throws 4 stellar innings, and Altuve (or Bregman or Correa) has to wake up with the bat. Houston should be favored in this game and if they beat up on the Braves’ pitching staff tonight that will bleed over to the next game big time.
Well if Houston loses tonight, it's all but over too. Tonight's a must win without being an official must win. Some of our biggest bats like you said have just gone ice cold and that sucks. The dogshit weather and no BP certainly did us no favors.
Kershaw also dominated us in game 1 and that other guy did the same in game 2, but we tagged the reliever Jantzen. Sadly the man behind that was our great Post Season clutch player, George Springer, who left for the bag.
That’s my fault guys.. didn’t check in yesterday with the positive vibes.. No worries.. just like we did with Boston. We gonna step it up in game 4 and won’t look back. positive vibes awayyyyyyy!!!!
I'll tip my cap to Atlanta, their pitchers are hot! Hope they cool down tonight and the Stros bats heat up.
I'm playing a Halloween show tonight so will miss most of the game but for the rest of y'all during the ALCS when I haven't been watching the Stros have taken the lead so there's that..
It’s weird. Anderson was throwing a no hitter, but he didn’t actually look that good in terms of stuff. He wasn’t getting swings and misses and the Astros made a lot of weak contact on pitches outside the zone. Wonder if it was weather, the inconsistent strike zone, or just randomness. Anderson is a good pitcher, so not trying to take anything away from him, but he didn’t have his best stuff last night.
I am pretty sure our guys know where their at and what they need to do. Just comes down to whether they can execute or not. WIN TONITE AND ITS ALL RIGHT
Random WS trivia Since 1982, every single World Series has had a player who was teammates with Smoltz. The streak began with former All-Star catcher Ted Simmons, who was Smoltz’s teammate on the 1988 Braves. It continued this season and last season with current Braves pitcher and former Tampa Bay Ray Charlie Morton, who was Smoltz’s teammate on the 2008 Braves.
I'll tell you what happened. Getting squeezed beyond belief, and the other side getting those calls. Absolutely reprehensible.
