It's going to be a downer season. Green is not close to the answer and anyone who likes delusions should keep to themselves -- not a good thing to talk up a non-anything. If someone wants to do big things in life, they need to do things that are difficult to do. Yes it's difficult to trade for a defending MVP type player to build around, but honestly that is what is needed at this time.
He's still got to be more assertive, but how can you NOT see the potential that Jalen Green exudes? 7 games into the season, he's looked good and bad...but when he puts it all together nobody's going to be able to stop him (Also, he's still only 19, along with Sengun and Garuba. Holy ****)
That was some mamba mentality to get blocked by AD a few possessions earlier then with 11 seconds left try that step back 3 on AD and nail it then talk ****
You have to be very stupid or know very little about this game to see Green's last play against AD and keep denying that this guy's conditions are there. Time and patience is all we need. Time and patience.
More plays need to be ran for Green, like in the first quarter. I'm not a fan of how they relegated him back to the corner afterwards.
Need to get him the ball more. Tate keeps missing him on passes. Just watch the difference when KJ is in with him instead of Tate.
To be fair his teammates kind of stopped looking for him after he exploded for 18 in the first half. Granted LA cranked the defense up especially on Jalen once he got hot, but the team has to find way and opportunities for him to score especially when they see that he’s got it going. No way Jalen shouldn’t had anything less than another 30 point game after how he started in the first
That’s a good point, I also think as he gets more established and comfortable in the league he’s going to learn to DEMAND the ball when he’s got and his teammates stop looking. We have a lot of young guys, and sometimes I think it’s not so much that they don’t want to give it to Green as it is them just wanting to show their own stuff. They’ll learn, and one good thing about this season is that everyone can figure it out and grow together
You know what's difficult to do? Write off a 19 year old after 6 games, 2 of which he scored 30 and 24 points. So if doing the difficult thing is your thing, you are doing it.
If he can get his 3 pointer consistent he wjll already be a handful. Those stepbacks are unguardable in terms of seperation His speed was on full display too, but sometimes he doesn't know how to fully utilize it or control it
i haven’t seen a full game yet this season, neither from Green or any of the other rookies - I know Mobley and Barnes hav racked up pretty good stats so far, but has any rookie done anything close to this so far this season? we knew his potential and we knew he might struggle at times. But stuff like this is special.
Green is a SUPERSTAR but we need a another STAR to get this thing going. I do not consider Wood or Porter as a STAR.
