Cool. So Celestials and Deviants? This should be interesting to see how this all resolves. The fact that Arishem shows up (means the Earth is probably going to be in judgment as to whether it gets wiped or not since that's about the only time he shows up anywhere... thumbs up or thumbs down? lol. This one may actually be one I watch.

Thanos actually was an Eternal who was born with Deviant mutations. His parents were Eternals from what I remember. Well, at least in the comics. I don't know how the MCU may/may have bastardized all that.

I don't know what Deviants are. They the super aggressive touchy feely kind?

    Last-minute sound edit:

“We were ordered not to interfere unless the — non-purple — deviants were involved.”

I think they did some hand wavy stuff and Thanos doesn't count because he is an Eternal even though he has the deviant gene. That's fine and maybe they will explain it better in the movie. However, I looked at the MCU Thanos wiki and it doesn't mention the deviant gene for him. They might use some other explanation. They completely changed the background of most of the Eternals as well. Some seem like they are just box checking and I don't know why they did it for others. Hopefully it all comes out somewhat cohesive.

He's also super strong, flies and shoots frikkin' lasers out of his eyes.

If this movie follows the comic cannon, it's very important for the future of the MCU (very spoilerific):

From what has been presented to this point, it seems that the logic from the comics remains true to what we've seen on the big screen.

Thanos was still born on Titan to the "Son of A'Lars" at least according to the keeper of the Stone (formerly Red Skull). So that Celestial heritage is running through his veins even with the Deviant gene coursing within the same blood.

I like how this film utilizes some actors not in the prime of their youth. Salma Hayek, Angelina Jolie, others.
    Gives it all more gravitas.

    Well, yeah.

Just saying, they could've gone for younger actresses to make sure you get the under-35 crowd to show up in droves.

Currently sitting at 71% on RT with 59 reviews.

    Worrisome?

I would be worried if it was below 50%. A lot of movies get review-bombed before they come out.

If it's better than Captain Marvel, that's a win.

Looking like a flop. Not surprised. Marvel used the proven failed DC formula here: throw 50 heroes on the screen and have them fight some gray CGI mess and hope it works. Well... it doesn't work.

    Oh well. MCU goes on.
