Lol, like kids in New York have not seen violence except on tv !

'Squid Game' Halloween Costumes Banned By New York School District Due To Netflix Hit's 'Violent Message'

Aiello spoke with five parents in the Bronx who all said they believe the upstate schools are overreacting.

“It’s a costume. Just don’t let your kids watch the show,” one woman said.

“For a school to actually impose that, that’s being very overbearing,” one man said.

The superintendent in White Plains said “Squid Game” costumes won’t be banned there, calling that a “slippery slope.” Pirates, for example, were historically violent outlaws.

America does have a weird comfortableness with hyper violence and children, but this is a perfect example of the Streisand Effect.

Sure, prop guns/weapons are a big fat no, but otherwise just let it be.

I think Halloween should be light hearted and whimsical- I’m for the school board making a decision based on condemning violent overtures…We have seen too much violence and too much bloodshed when we need to all find inner peace

    LOL

So fictional stories are causing these oversensitive people to ban Squid Game costumes?

List of fictional characters that killed a crap load of people
    Dracula
    Zombies
    Frankenstein
    the Mummy
    WereWolf

    and

GODZILLA, he stepped on thousands of Asians

    Squid Game = Fiction

NYC banning costumes because of Fiction

But Fiction costumes that are NOT banned
    Jason
    Dracula
    Frankenstein
    Freddy
    Werewolf

All those Fiction stories and characters killed humans and were violent

    So why Squid Game?

You do understand that I disagree with banning Squid Game costumes, right?

LMAO that tinny thinks NYC is in Upstate NY, either that or he didn't bother to read his own sourced article.

It doesn't bother me, though I wouldn't care much the other way either. I think decisions on what to do about kids as it relates to watching inappropriate things has become incredibly difficult. The internet and the number of devices constantly able to access it make it nearly impossible to control.

Reading past a headline cuts into the time of making other nonsensical threads.

He denigrates younger people at the same time exemplifying a boomer on Facebook right here on Clutchfans.

    yaaay for us o_O!

Perhaps it’s our fault and we just don’t get the awesome sense of humor being exhibited on constant and daily basis.

Lin fans probably think Lin is funnier than Dave Chappelle and Eddie Murphy

I don't know if you've ever watched What We Do In The Shadows on FX (it's hilarious, btw), but I'm convinced he is in fact Colin Robinson feeding on the tedium and exasperation he brings to the bbs.
