The empty stats triple doubles always make me laugh with him. And take the L’s as usual. But casuals still act like he’s so good still

That under 52.5 regular season wins was looking really good at the beginning of the season, there is no way this team gets in together to get 53 wins.

How many picks do the Lakers send our way with Westbrook for EG?

The sad thing is after the Davis trade and pick swaps they don't have anything to trade until 2025 and they are going to be toilet drain by 2023. Pelis about to feel better about Davis trade 2023/2024 after they lose Zion for the same reason. Bron is already broken down, Davis too. I think they are stuck with Brodie. Russ gonna Russ. I didn't want him in the first place and he sure as hell ain't welcome back after sticking us with Wall. Everyone on that team is a scrub or broken down has been except for Horton Tucker. Championship my azz.

    It’s not gonna work.
A trade that never should have been made in the first place.
(LOL James & James thought they could win with him)
He’s going to be one & done in LA; on his 5th team in 5 years next year (if he’s not traded by the deadline)
I don’t know where they’re going to trade him, who’s going to take him, what strings LeBron/Klutch/Pelinka will pull

Swindle Portland for Lillard? Does it end with Daryl reacquiring Westbrook for Simmons? :D (No way) … Would OKC even want him back in a salary dump? (Expiring in 2022-23) Not sure they would.

Something I have noted for about 4-5 years now.

Westbrook on the floor is just not a good thing. He can load a stat sheet like few in league history, but the cost is you won’t win much while he’s doing his thing.

It's really amazing why great players like Harden and LeBron would want to play with him.

Russ is an analog Walkman in a digital streaming world. His game might have had success and maybe led a team to a Finals appearance in the previous generation or two where efficiency and 3s weren't prioritized but, now, what he brings and what he lacks is just not worth it. Putting up triple doubles is cute and playing with an undeniable fire is admirable but when you're shooting 42% from the field and 18% from the 3 point line (not to mention the 47% clip at the FT line) and turning it over 6 times a game...like you're really a net negative.

The love affair everyone has with bums like Russ and Melo convinced me that the average NBA star’s IQ is 85 tops.

Players seem to be really bad at overvaluing the value of a player who can do something that seems difficult and that most players can’t.

Like Russ getting triple doubles is a rarer “skill” that they think is impressive because of how difficult they think it would be for them to do it vs Buddy Hield being able to hit 5 more 3s out of 100 than they could.

Players overvaluing Melo’s iso “scoring ability” in terms of contribution to winning basketball is a similar deal.

It is also amazing how many people still talk about him, that exposure, that controversy.
