No I get it. Was thinking hit and run at first.

 

With his speed and Tuckers I was thinking the same thing

 

It also implies a hitter capable of safe contact. Siri is the last MFer I want the contact play on.

 

I know Maldy got a big hit today but it’s still embarrassing that a position player can be this bad at the plate.

Eh...if you do it right there's really no pause at all. That was one of those plays that I wouldn't have argued about either way.

I agree. The ball scooted out the heal of his glove. It's like the ball hit his mitt and when he brought the grove up it kept rolling through and squirted out. No reply showed the hand pulling the ball out either. Good call, too bad we didn't score more runs.

If the rest of the lineup wasn't loaded Maldy probably wouldn't see the field. He's never been anything special as a hitter but he's a joke most of the time at this point.
