ya they were a good team, but if we had played them in a best of 101 instead of best of 7, which would eliminate the luck/variance/small sample size, we win that series 100 outa 100 times. They would be drawing completely dead, because they were the worse team and they played worse, but were luckier.
It's a very difficult thing to even get to a World Series, much less win. Hasn't been a National League repeat since the 1970's Cincinnati Reds.
