ERS today after market close; the strength of my conviction on MSFT is such that i've opted to construct another bullish play on it, using the 10-29 expiration constructed this risk reversal play bto 315 strike CALL, sto 305 PUT lucky that my order for "even" (no cost) was filled
Yes, Tesla is further along than any competition. Not even close. Its their AI that is the game changer. Think beyond a battery with wheels. What can a battery with cameras mounted on any mechanical system accomplish?
Tbh, I wouldn't mind a dip so I can add. I think googl earnings could be important for wider market - snap and fb causing uncertainty over whether it's just an apple idfa thing or are supply shortages leading to reduced ad spend. Good qtr for googl will put those fears to rest hopefully.
You were right my good sir! Profit and sales blow past expectations as cloud revenue nears $17 billion and PC revenue overcomes reported drop in shipments Microsoft Corp. shares closed just shy of a record Tuesday, but the software giant still set an impressive new high after the session that pushed the shares toward a new peak. Microsoft (MSFT) reported fiscal first-quarter earnings of $20.5 billion, or $2.71 a share, up from $1.82 a share a year ago and topping its quarterly profit record -- set in the previous period -- by more than $4 billion. Microsoft noted that about $3.3 billion of its profit was due to a one-time income-tax benefit related to the transfer of intangible products, but said earnings without that benefit would have been $2.27 a share, still easily higher than expectations. LET'S GO!
Monster. Googl ad revenue looked great, down cos it missed on cloud. Twtr ad revenue was good. Snap and fb issues look company specific.
after hour trading action got to > 315 will morph the above risk reversal trade into a bullish cost spread, using this order btc 305 PUT, sto 317.5 CALL for a 35 cents credit
@PWR @saitou WTRH seems to be gaining traction in the meme community. It's gone from 80 cent recent lows to 2+ today.
Yeah, it is definitely running. But, I am almost exclusively back to day trading now. There have been so many daily +100% runners during regular hours this week, I had to get back to what I do best. I still have some swing shares in HUDI with an average in the $8 range tho. It has quietly ran from $2 to $23 this month. It should be cooling down soon.
Looks like a fat finger accident. Maybe market order during low liquidity period. See ISRG chart recently had something similar after it's stock split.
@CXbby have you looked at opendoor? Any views on it? Growing rapidly, cost advantage, thumping competition (look at Zillow recent news), misunderstood biz model leads to potential mispricing of shares. It's not in the house flipping (buy low sell high) biz, its trying to be the market maker/citadel of the housing market eating the margin that real estate agents make. Since despac they are on track to meet 2023 top line and bottom line targets by this year, 2 years ahead of schedule. I think fear over housing market peak is clouding the price. Any of you guys used opendoor before?
Tesla may surpass GM’s net income as early as next quarter. GM has had stagnant to declining net income for decades. Tesla is growing net income 400% year over year. What logical investor would pay the same, or even in the same ball park, multiple for both? The answer is none, that’s why it’s never been valued like a car company.
I bought a few oct 29 315 calls for fun before market close yest. Woke up to 130% gain this AM. lol. Sold them. Thanks MSFT!
market just open, trading above 318 try to change the order to $1.35 credit, luckily, got filled now i have a bullish 5-pt CALL spread, 10-29-2021, for which i have received a premium of ~$2 long 312.5 strike CALL, short 317.5 strike CALL
Robinhood (HOOD) — Robinhood tumbled 8.5% in premarket trading, after the trading platform operator posted a larger-than-expected loss and quarterly revenue that missed estimates. Robinhood’s quarter was hurt by declining trading levels for cryptocurrencies, among other factors. Maybe once they stopped pumping Doge coin their revenue was lower.
Sold it too early it seems. Left about............300% more as of now on the table. At close yest the calls were 1.85. Now 10+
They really did an ironnet PR, warrants up 10%. If it wasn't for the threat of insider selling on lock-up expiry i'd make a bigger bet on this. https://www.businesswire.com/news/h...crosoft-Intelligent-Security-Association-MISA
Surprised most of the SaaS stocks are a bit down today. AZURE results should give confi that cloud still booming. Any favs to add? CRWD?
@Ziggy have you been keeping up with NET's latest stuff? The valuation is truly dizzying P/S (not p/e!) of 110. Even the financial analysts that are normally NET bulls have been downgrading to hold over valuation concerns. My guess is a lot of the excitement is over this: https://techcrunch.com/2021/09/28/c...-services-market-with-new-r2-storage-product/ They have ambitions to be the 4th public cloud, disrupting the big 3. Seems crazy but they keep executing very qtr. Tempted to jump back in but this TRULY looks expensive, even for me. Wish i had more technical knowledge to make a better assessment on their prospects.
