This is just one of those games where nothing goes right, happens at least once a series, sometimes twice. Oh well.
No **** the balls were juiced. MLB shattered every home run record from 2017-2020 only to return down to pre-2017 levels in 2020. Guys like Gio Urshella, Alex Bregman, and Justin Turner, all good players, hitting 40+ HR per year. You turn 20 of Bregman's HRs into outs and 20 of his doubles into Singles and he's a 20 HR 30 2B guy. An above average 3rd Baseman, but no MVP.
Nothing going the Astros way. Is what it is. I really hope we can win a home WS game for once tomorrow.
Not our night. Turning it off and hope I regret it. Lose tomorrow and this series is over. Urquidy better have the game of his life.
yeah I don’t get these one year wonders that show up like gangbusters and out perform a team like The Astros who have been good for half a decade now? I know the series just started but you would think the Astros with all their experience we would be the ones getting all the runs, hits, and defensive plays in game 1 at home. Baseball is just a weird sport where u can get hot just at the right moment and end up with a championship. A team with 88 wins in the season should not be putting on a clinic like this in the WS, I don’t care what their record was after the trade deadline
Those really hurt, but this, and the Stanek slow roller to first, and Tucker’s throw off the line, and Albies beating out the throws, etc. are all signs it just is NOT our night.
