I agree, but Wood's not an elite late game performer either, which is a problem. Saw it last year and seeing it again this year. Doesn't have any good go-to moves in his arsenal and when guys get physical with him late in games he relies more on calls.

Saying that KPJ isn't a PG due to him struggling a bit early on is like calling Green a bust due to him looking terrible outside of one hot shooting game.

Give the kids some time to develop.

Green isn't going to be a consistent shooter from day 1.

KPJ is going to struggle with turnovers early on.....especially when he's getting fouled with no whistle.

The knee jerking going on is just ridiculous.

KPJ's issue is that he attacks, yes, but he attacks the paint and then picks up his dribble and starts doing the pivot of death while trying to find anyone to pass it to. Then there are at least 3-5 plays where you're like "wth were you thinking?" that he commits.

Green wasn't tentative as much tonight. I think he needs to learn how to drive/penetrate in traffic without getting his shot blocked. Right now, he won't drive if the paint is crowded, which is cool, but he's missing layups and bricking 3's. He's also aggressive with the 3's -- especially this game. I don't think he's that timid. His shots just weren't falling. Timid dudes don't put up 16 shots with 9 of them being 3's.

His team leading 16 shots wasn't enough for you?

KPJ is a 3rd-year player, not it's not the same.

See, I told you that you do it for KPJ.

That's bullshit honestly. He missed a ton of open 3's. A lot of shots he took he chose to take, especially early on the shot clock. What does it have to do with KPJ.

Twice in the fourth he did his step back early in the shot clock. kPJ didn't even toch the ball in those possessions

I don’t know what people see in porter jr. People actually believed that he was a future all star.

running the right plays at the right time, controlling tempo, feeding the hot hand, getting someone a touch who hasn’t had the rock in a while, etc…all things I can’t picture KPJr doing

seems like he’s just going down the court every possession with no plan

Rockets trying to turn a non-PG into a PG…it rarely works

He’s being used wrong. It’s basically just that simple. I guess they think he will grow into being some version of a PG in time, but I don’t know.

Can't expect him to show up when the team's scoring leader is only getting 3 attempts in the 4th. He was asking for the ball quite a lot but our offensive strategy was simply terrible. Wood thrives best when a good passer finds him for open dunks/layups as he tries to finish strong at the rim almost every time and Rockets do not have that luxury with a pass-first PG.

Maybe @D-rock is on to something about bringing Simmons on board. I am concerned about stunting J Greens growth.

We would've won this game if House hadn't gone out

been wanting to say that since the Lakers series. Haha

That's just stupid though, we're talking about a 21 year old with just over 2000 total minutes played.....fewer minutes than Tate got just last season alone. He's had the equivalent of 1 year worth of NBA experience.....and he's trying to do at 21 what Harden did at 27, which led Harden to have 3 of the 5 most turnover prone seasons in NBA history.

I'll challenge unintelligent criticism, that's not the same as Green fans blaming other players for their guy looking terrible in 3 of 4 games thus far.

Green needs to do something besides jacking up threes.

He has started 29 games and still has not played in 82 total games yet and is 21 years old. I see plenty
