Deshaun Watson has only played for Bill O'Brien, universally regarded as the worst GM and HC in the league. Mahomes has the opposite situation.
Good then wait till off season either way Texans are in a win-win situation. Then if teams think they can low ball us we will decline and force Watson to play and if he says no then we fine him.
Is there any measure that Watson is better? He can run a little bit better, but doesn’t throw on the run any better.
This franchise is hopeless but I cant see a better football scenario than just keeping Watson until people forget he's a sex predator.
He may be a piece of crap but the piece of crap IS good at football. Not trying to say he's better than Mahomes, just that him being a piece of crap isn't really relevant to a debate about on-field performance
In other news McNair has been accused of making racist comments...NFL should step in and make him sell the team, that would be the best thing that could ever happen to the Texans...
Absolutely. He’s still not on Mahomes level. He is on Josh Allen and Dak level. By the time he plays again, Kyler, Herbert and Burrow might up there too.
It would be so Texans to try to sneak in a low return Deshaun trade during the Astros World Series. Am I right?
https://www.houstonchronicle.com/te...icking-on-a-Deshaun-Watson-trade-16566378.php Watson told the Texans he would accept a trade to Miami. He invoked his no-trade clause on a possible deal with Philadelphia, according to a source close to the situation. He also has told Caserio the other teams he’s avoiding for one reason or another. Last week, negotiations heated up between Caserio and Miami general manager Chris Grier. Both sides were hoping to complete a deal last week, and if they didn’t, they would continue to the deadline if necessary. The compensation has been agreed to, according to sources familiar with the situation. The Texans should get the three first-round picks they’ve been asking for, but Caserio might have to accept lesser picks than the second-round selections he’s demanded. Dolphins’ owner Stephen Ross has approved a Watson trade, but he wants his legal issues resolved. The only way for Watson to do that before the trade deadline would be to settle the 22 civil suits. League sources say Watson doesn’t want to settle his cases because he believes it would be an admission of guilt.
