He should have, but the majority of his shots have been jumpers it seems....he will get to the line in time.

The only thing I don’t like about this is defenders won’t be punished as much for poor discipline anymore

Shane battier was incredible at defending without fouling and not jumping on pump fakes. Now it’s not as big of a deal if defenders bite

JG also needs to start complaining to the refs for no-calls during the game. After that missed dunk attempt vs OKC, which was clearly a defensive foul, JG made absolutely no attempt to convince the refs and just walks away.

To me it is funny now they are changing rules for James Harden in a Big Market now.

Fans for years complained about Harden flopping for calls, I think LeBron James and Reggie Miller, Karl Malone, John Stockton started this trend.

Now Curry, Luka, Trae, Harden, Chris Paul
now they can't do anything until players get injured.

Eye socket injury, bone broken, nose injury
This might wake Adam Silver up

He comes across as a drifter, someone looking to avoid contact to get his shot off. And that can be good at times, but during the grind he needs to seek contact to rest, get easy points, and get the other team in foul trouble. Then ultimately, he needs a signature move to get his shot off in the clutch so that he isn't reliant on a foul call. Harden's biggest problem is that his signature shot can be unreliable, and drawing the foul is unreliable, leaving him short at clutch time.

He’s a featherweight right now. As he ages and bulks up, he will be better at drawing fouls. Being a rookie doesn’t help, and it does seem like refs are perhaps swallowing the whistle a bit more than usual to start the season. There’s been of course at least one instance where he clearly should have gone to the line (that insane dunk attempt).

    It's a temporary over correction.

The league is currently averaging the fewest number of free throws ever, which is not sustainable in this era of basketball. Teams will start sending in tapes of very obvious fouls that are not called, and complaints will pile up, though I suspect it will be really bad no-calls at the end of games that will push everything over the edge.

They are also completely over interpreting the new rules. The new rules was made mainly to curtail unnatural moves like leg kicks or jumping into defenders on the 3 point line to draw cheap fouls.

Now they have swallowed the whistle when players just get smacked driving to the lane which makes no sense.

Great job by Referees by not not doing their job at all.

Referees now need to run back and forth even more, which means more older referees will retire after this year.

James Harden rule will affect Scott Foster also lol

Unfortunately, he gives me some McGrady vibes as in avoids contact versus searching for it.

JG needs a few pregame meals in him. Just not as many as "Slim Jim" or Zion.

He does to a point. He settles for his jumper a lot and takes a lot of tough shots. However, I will give him the benefit of the doubt. McGrady played in another era where free throws and efficiency wasn't as important like it is now. Green is and will keep hearing that getting to the line is part of what it takes to be really good and I suspect he will at least be "okay" at going to the line. He does need to get stronger though and it doesn't appear he finishes well when there is contact.
