All this experimenting, you come out of the closet. https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/im-coming-out-of-the-closet.313485/
I had a T-Will thought after watching this game about KPJ as well. I remembered how Morey once said, shortly after the T-Will failure, that because of how sophisticated defensive schemes are now it's impossible to play low IQ perimeter players; they have too much to read and react to.
Someone tell Silas he needs to go watch tape on the 2013/2014 Suns team coached by his assistant. They won 48 games with two scoring guards in the backcourt in Dragic and Bledsoe with no one on the team averaging more than 6 assists per game.
Hey, if you still want to make fun of Harden, please go to the other forum, this is not the place for it. "Kevin Durant scored 38 points for the Nets, who fell to 1-2. James Harden had 15 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and EIGHT turnovers for Brooklyn."
This. He never seems to see/want to make the simple pass. Its not about highlights. His job is to keep the offense moving and more times than not it's making the simple play. He seems to either not have a plan or hunt for the highlight. Its early days and transitioning to pg is hard so hopefully he gets it but right now he does look lost at times
Yeah he meanders with the ball too much for my liking. Once he learns to make a read and go for it decisively as you said he'll improve. At the moment it's too much iso dribble with no real plan other than cook the defender.
This entire team lacks chemistry. Playing time will cure that. What team with this many teenagers is not going to turn the ball over. The entire team especially KPJ will improve as they get familiar with each other. It will take a lot of time, because Silas is still playing with the rotation.
cap. didn’t realize we’re giving up on guys that are 21, entering their 3rd season. maybe give him a little more time?
Jamal Crawford. Has all the physical tools to be an all star but struggles to put them all together… put him on the bench with limited responsibilities and see how he does.

Its going to take time. He is not a natural PG, he is more of a scorer looks like to me. I too think he will end up as a 6th man type where he can just go get buckets and drop off some dimes when he cant score it. We have time to see how he develops though, but so far I just don't see those PG instincts in his game. I think we look for another PG in coming drafts or FA.
KPJ has a high ceiling, but his playing style kind of forces him to HAVE to be elite. He tends to stop the flow of a ball-hopping offense, which can work if you're an offensive, unstoppable machine. He is fun to watch and worth the time to develop. He needs a rule of some sort that helps him make decisions quicker in the shot clock to allow the offense to flow otherwise he might end up being more of an elite 6th man kind of player
I think he has to make adjustments. He usually uses his slow approach to BURST by people with a quick first step, this works when defenses are laying back and not pressuring him, but he needs to do the OPPOSITE when teams are pressuring, go FAST at them, and then quickly slow down to create space. So far, he is just doing the same thing and he is turning it over at a Harden like pace, without the scoring to offset it. DD
I have wondered a bit myself about this ability to play point guard vs 6 th man. However, I think of how Kevin Durant went out of his way recently to comment on how immensely talented KPG is so I am still very hopeful. There is also his old teammate Kevin Love. There have been reports that school was always very easy for him so hopefully his intelligence level translates to bb IQ. There is always KPJ, and Wall for Simmons and add ons. JK. not ready for that yet
If PG doesn't work out, you still have a devastating scorer off the wing. But, at this point, I still feel there's a good chance he makes it out top.
Bump #2. I'm not super high on him, but seems like the Org still is. Looks like he'll still be a starter guard (not SF), next season?
