he is getting annoying like Bullard got when he keeps telling the viewing audience what every foul is called for. I dislike special comments men who talk as if the viewing public are idiots

    This

He may not be terrible but he is not good either, has no flavor whatsoever.

I think he’s pretty basic. He’s not amazing but not bad either. I can listen him and CA without any issues. That’s all I’d ever ask for.

A bit like listening to a 2k announcer... but professional and serviceable, minding him less now

I listened to him for the first time this game. Don’t see what the fuss is. He was fine.

Yup. I listen to the games and they seem to "fit in". Nothing seems too forced and they seem to be getting better in interacting with one another. Ryan's only problem so far are the names. lol.

I just wish american commentators would STFU sometimes and just hear the action and crowd.

He's actually been alright so far. He's better suited for this role than an actual analyst spot on ESPN, where you're more likely to secure a long-term gig if you're a reactionary. He hasn't been over-the-top like he was in that role.

As mentioned before though, the downside is that he doesn't have a history with the team. I doubt this is a long-term gig for him, but he seems to be an upgrade from recent years -- Bullard/late-career Worrell were incredibly stagnant from night to night.

I've heard enough to where I can now definitively say I don't like these guys. I guess they'd be OK calling highlights for Yahoo Sports or something, but there is no connection, no vibe here.

I like Ackerman fine but Hollins doesn't really bring much flavor to the broadcast.

But I'm an idiot and would rather have Clyde back than anyone, he brought an extra level of entertainment and weirdness

Hollins needs to call Christian Wood by his actual name, not keep calling him plural.

Or perhaps it is possessive commentary? I'm not sure

I thought he was fine the first time I heard him, and now I'm thinking he's actually quite good for a first time color commentator.

Is it his first time? I thought he did some commentating part-time or as a replacement for the Clips or somebody. I liked what I've heard of the guy other than the fact he screws up names or forgets how to pronounce them occasionally. "Alpren..." .... "Alprawn".... "Bob"....

I prefer someone with a Rockets or Houston connection. This hire was weird to me from the start.

Who told this bum that his job is to be armchair coach the whole game?

I agree. I have no problem with him at all. Is he JVG? No. But he’s perfectly adequate as far as I’m concerned.
