It is weird that I feel the Dodgers have a better shot of winning 3 games in a row against the Braves (with the last 2 in Atlanta) than the Red Sox winning 2 in a row against the Astros in Houston.
A calculated posturing. Really rubbing your opponents noses in when you came back from down 3-1 might work.
Dodgers literally had 5 aces. Down to 3. The Astros had 1. And we are down to 0. It's just near impossible for Atlanta or the Astros to compete with that. The Braves are still facing an uphill battle against Scherzer and Beuhler. At this point the Dodgers should be the favorites to win the series.
The way Max and Urias have been used that ace level of pitching may be lower now. At the start of spring training we thought Framber was our ace so hopefully he's that guy.
We don't have much outside Framber. Lance is done for the season. Relying on Garcia and Urquidy for 4 world series games against even a beat up LAD team makes me uncomfortable. Of course, averaging 8 runs per game solves most of these issues.
I think I just heard that Scherzer isn't starting tomorrow. Arm still dead? Dodgers lying? Taking a chance of a game 7 and saving him?
I feel like the Braves will win but I honestly want the dodgers. Let's tackle this **** head on. Could you imagine how amazing it would be to beat the dodgers in a rematch when we are clearly clean?
Is it because as a starter he had to get ready as a reliever and that messed up his arm? Like Odorizzi got all the time he needed and he still said that was quicker than normal. Not sure when Scherzer started to warm up.
The save was on his normal day to throw, so managers tend to use starters in big games on those days. However, it's a lot different throwing a relaxing X number of pitches in the bullpen and critical pitches in a series clinching win. Supposedly his arm was tired when he started a few days after that. Probably led to his problem for game 6.
so do you have the dodgers of braves winning? Because a few days ago it seemed like you were confident that the braves would choke the series away.
Dodgers still taking the series, Atlanta choke overpowerers Dave Roberts running his pitchers into the ground.
I feel like the Dodgers are up to something. Scherzer “not starting” but wouldn’t be surprised if he came in the second or third. Remember this post
