What's insane? Harden is the 3rd best SG ever, but he wasn't fun or exciting to watch-you let Harden do his thing because of how good he is-and even then it's not good enough for a single trophy. I'm saying giving KPj the same level USG and play type of a James Harden is what's actually insane. He should be learning point off the bench or in summer league- the pg version of him or if he's a 2 guard doesn't fit at all with Green who is our real investment we need to focus on. KPj is not the #2 pick. He's a talented guy who nearly fell out of the 1st round despite all the teams knowing his talent. He was given up on and traded for nothing despite his team knowing his talent. Only on Clutchfans can we get a guy the whole league avoided like the plague but we root for him and give him the keys over our actual #2 pick. Every single NBA team would take Green over KPj. How's that for factz?
i was thinking of KPJ...its weird that he doesnt spamm it every single possesion...its a red flag ....
Russel with Lakers averaged 14 pts 4 assist. Kpj was 16 6 last year and that wasn't a full season. He had a bad fist game like they all did but had 18 points and 10 assists on 7 of 16. I don't know about anyone else but I am going to take that as a good sign Keep in mind he has not played a full year in the NBA as a pg. Let's not act like he is a seasoned veteran.
I love KPJ, but I know for sure he is not a pg. His skillset means he is playmaker material, but we know that the demands of being a lead guard is more than that. His pocketpasses worked against okc, but against good teams he could be back to his 9TOs self.
He just put up 9 assists in a win. Green puts up 4 assists and everyone and their inbreed aunt want to make him a PG. CF is stupid AF sometimes.
we’ve seen enough flashes to know he COULD be special. still tons of work to do on discipline, consistency, defense. Cavs gave him away now they don’t extend Sexton either, what’s the thinking there long-term? Rubio?
Russell played his rookie year next to washed, ball hog Kobe and then in his 2nd season is playing next to Randle, Ingram, Clarkson, and Lou Will who all need the ball and averaged 16 and 5 he hasn’t played a full year, but this is still his 3rd season…he has had 2 offseasons now to improve and work on his game
I'm unsure if KPJ has ever been surrounded by such a great group of guys before. You love to see Porter Jr embracing that brotherly role with JG early on. Hearing of how they both genuinely root for one another to be successful out on the court is music to my ears. Jaygup echos the same sentiment in interviews, and it never comes across as mere lip service with this group. One needs the right people in their corner, and there's a true bond forming amongst our young core that can only help propel all of their games to newfound heights. Houston finds itself in the most unusual situation of having just drafted four rookies. More often than not rookies are the odd man out as vets have families to get back to after basketball is done for the day. Meanwhile the Rockets have a built in brotherhood of baby ballers looking to maximize their talent. Iron sharpens iron my damies. Something tells me these guys are going to help drive one another to strive for greatness and I'm here for it. If these young men keep working on their craft, keep talking hoops and continue to support one another as they've shown to early on then the future is going to be scary.
