Houston needs to keep the ball in the field and lay off the walks. Recipe for Beating Boston the last few games.
Castro needs to be the catcher to get off to a faster start. Obviously Maldy didn't help Garcia last time so why not?
Hopefully it's the good. Hoping it was as Strom thought it might be, that they were tipping their pitches.
Kind of bizarre that it was the whole staff that was "tipping pitches." Then shortly after that came out, the bats weren't as hot. I am curious what they found as it was a general statement.
We need to have more runs than the Sox at the end of the game. Bam. Back in the Fall Classic! IF YOU SEE ME POST ABOUT 10 OF THESE ‘FLAIR BOMBS’ TONIGHT-WE BACK IN THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!
Especially no lead off walks. that **** drives me crazy. Like Cris sale said “I’ve known since I was 12 that leadoff walks kill you”
Would be nice to have an offensive explosion early so Luis Garcia and I aren’t in a prolonged state of suspense.
If I count right: Cubs have been in 1 WS, 4 LCS, 6 DS, and 2 wild card games. Astros have been to 3 WS, 7 LCS, 9DS, and they were also a wild card 2 times. So the Cubs haven't exactly been terrible, but the Astros have had significantly more success both being in the playoffs and getting deeper into them since the WC started.
The Red Sox were stealing signs, the Astros changed signs and Astros Pitchers had notes in their back pockets of what pitches to throw in what count, which is very smart of Bret Strom and the pitchers. Alex Cora is still cheating and had a light flashing at Center Field when the Red Sox were batting.
