Who can they sue? It’s downright un American if you can’t sue somebody, especially in medicine. Yet you can’t sue a God d*** single soul in this case. You’re the one who knows nothing about this vaccine and the politics behind it.
I know the data that has been presented. Work to change the law if you want folks to be able to sue drug manufacturers in cases like this. Otherwise folks have to settle to file for compensation.
You know this whole thing feels wrong in this country when you have to coerce people into doing something and when they are injured, there are no legal remedies or them. Even Singapore has established a fund for the victims of vaccine injuries.
US gov has one established since 1980s. National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program | Official web site of the U.S. Health Resources & Services Administration (hrsa.gov)
God you are extra snowflakey today. Why are "Conservatives" such whiny babies who cannot take criticism??
All the folks who have suffered significant side effects shold find a willing law firm and get to work. At the very least, they bring attention to their situation and I think a lot of their Congressional representatives will give them voice and publicity.
Because the emergency act was used for this vaccine as a shield against lawsuit, I doubt it that anyone could take legal action against anybody involved in this vaccine. That is why the whole thing stinks from the start. When there are risks, there must a choice. When there are injured parties due to negligence, there must be legal remedies. We have none of it when it comes to this vaccine, and you’re wondered why people are hesitant to take this jab?
This isn't suing. There is a compensation plan in effect that folks can apply for. It is not necessarily as 'profitable' as a suit and doesn't hold manufacturers legally responsible, but it's there to use.
Here is a big problem with what you just said about the compensation plan of this vaccine. There is a clear agenda behind it that they just simply do not believe you when you are injured by this vaccine. If they believe you, it will blow a big hole in their scheme and therefore they have to admit culpability. If they don’t believe you, how can you get compensated for your pain and suffering?
I still don't understand why you talk about this scheme? The US vaccine manufacturers acknowledge there may be side effects. And if something serious happens to a person that is forced to get the vaccine by their private company, I'd sue my company. I have still not seen any outcry of people who have had a family member die or suffer a serious side effect. There is always the random youtube video, but if severe effects are so rampant why isn't there more evidence?
I think some people do not understand the gov vaccine injury compensation programs. Again, this has been in effect since 1980s. This is a case of privatizing profit and socializing the cost for very good reasons - vaccines have been a godsend and probably every democratic country does it this way for public health. If you allow suing vaccine makers, you risk slowing the vaccines pipeline and innovation. You can see stats on awarded compensation here. As you can see, there is no such thing as a perfectly 100% safe vaccine and thus the need for such a program. The avg compensation is 551k per incident. 1 incident per 1m doses. https://www.hrsa.gov/vaccine-compensation/data/index.html How many petitions have been awarded compensation? According to the CDC, from 2006 to 2019 over 4 billion doses of covered vaccines were distributed in the U.S. For petitions filed in this time period, 8,516 petitions were adjudicated by the Court, and of those 6,054 were compensated. This means for every 1 million doses of vaccine that were distributed, approximately 1 individual was compensated. Since 1988, over 24,441 petitions have been filed with the VICP. Over that 30-year time period, 20,300 petitions have been adjudicated, with 8,353 of those determined to be compensable, while 11,947 were dismissed. Total compensation paid over the life of the program is approximately $4.6 billion.
Since Singapore has been brought up will point out a few things. Vaccines are not mandatory in Singapore, yet, but Singapore has enforced mask mandated and lockdowns stricter than the US did. To travel to Singapore does require proof of vaccination. Singapore currently has about 82% of its population vaccinated, that translates to about 4.7 million people. Singapore also does have a fund to treat people who suffer severe side effects from the vaccines. Only about 270 people have used the fund. That translates to about .0006% of vaccinated people in Singapore suffering severe enough side effects to be hospitalized. Or about 6 out of 100,000 people. I’m on my phone so difficult to post links but will do so when I get the chance.
The problem with this Covid vaccine is when you claimed you have been injured by it, they just simply do not believe you. It’s simple really, if they acknowledged that this vaccine had caused serious side effects on more than a few people, they will be held liable for it. They have insulated themselves pretty well with the emergency act as well stone walling any safety issues with this vaccine. The vaccine compensation plan is useless if they do not believe in your claim. Believe me, the corrupt big pharmas and the current government have figured out all angles. In the end, it’s always the ordinary citizen who got the shaft. So, don’t pile on your neighbors when they express doubt about this vaccine. I never understood why you guys in here are always piling on people who sincerely and legitimately having concerns about this vaccine. You guys believe in it, fine, take the jab, but when someone seems to have doubt about it, let them have the right to think for themselves and don’t shame them.
This is the nature of conspiracies. The lack of evidence is evidence. So now there is giant population of people have severe side effects or dying but it isn't reported. Okay. So how do you actually prove this claim?
There is an outcry, it’s just that it is not covered by the MSM. How are you going to sue that company if said company is forced to implement the vaccine via the government mandate?
Where is this outcry. I'm not talking about a handful of youtube videos. Where are all these serious issues being discussed? Again if it was a member of my family, I'd be camped out at the local news affiliates.
