I found a very nice comparison video (Turkish subs) between Sengun and Jokic here.

I think there are definitely many similarities.

Can Sengun be a Jokic type of player with a better defense?

Note for Silas: Sengun must play at least 25-30 mins each game. He must touch the ball each possession.

Give him more minutes and play-making role please. Then I believe he will be ROY and better player.

I'm trying to get to your level, @Reeko level , @D-rock level and, of course, @Dovahkiin level.

He’s a good passer but let’s see how that translates as NBA defenses adjust to his playmaking. I do like his vision though.

That's where the coaching staff needs to help him (or, quite frankly, whoever is running the offense) out--Sengun's passing ability can only take the team so far. If Silas is preaching movement then he needs to work with his forwards to let them know where to position themselves as a screener for the guards or even vice versa. It's like you can have a QB with great field vision and knows how to find the open man but if the offense don't have plays to get the receivers open, the QB's job becomes unnecessarily harder.

the Jokic thing sounds crazy to me…Jokic is bigger and his jumper is pure butter…not to mention he is the best passing big man ever

Sengun to Jokic is the same as Christian Wood to AD

According to Google maps Turkey is only a 16.5 hour drive away from Serbia.

    What’s a more apt comparison?
    Sengun-Jokic
    Green-Kobe

    both crazy

so far we got Sengun-Jokic, Green-Kobe, and JC-DWade

CF might as well claim Garuba is the next Mutombo while they’re at it

With all these future legends on the squad, the future is blindingly bright. Idk why people are even bothering with Banchero, Holmgren, and the rest. We’re already good with the All-time greats that we’ve got

Thank you for all great comments with respect.

I would like to say Sengun will be Sengun, no one else. He is very promising prospect. He is just 19 years and we don't know how will he be in his prime. The video that I shared shows just some similarities, it doesn't mean he will be same like Jokic. I think he already has some ups and for sure downs.

If we really want to compare players, we should consider their ages or first seasons in NBA.

Kobe was already much more better prospect than Green when he was 19.
AD was already much more better prospect than Wood in all age categories.
So these examples (above) do not make any sense for me.

However, was Jokic (19) better than Sengun?
Or, was D. Sabonis (19) better than Sengun?
I'm not sure, so there is nothing "crazy" here.

Anyway we will see how much Sengun will be improved in years. I'm excited.

Looking forward to see Sengun prime.

I like it, btw he has a great feel for game , unfortunately jokic comparison is not ideal because he lacks jumper and range, and thats not a small thing... defensively Sengun should be a lot better than jokic

Wood is 25 though. You’re not going to develop further after 25 most likely. Sengun is 19 and the comparisons are coupled with the assumption that what he does now, he can sustain and do even more of it, and consistently.

when people compare rookies to HOFers it’s always under the assumed trajectory not where they’re at right now. It’s where we hope they’ll be if everything goes right.
