before the thunder got harden the thunder were 23-59 i think.. then went 50-32 in hardens rookie year

here are some of the highlights how scotty brooks used harden( more off-ball movement) and how silas can take notes with jalen green. I think jalen green is way more athletic than harden was as a rookie, probably has a better first step too and just as good a shooter( according to his draft profile).

Its just gonna be how hard JG works. For one thing, harden came into the nba humble.. he had wars with durant and westbrook in practices that toughened him up, Maybe kpj, jaygup, and jg can be a super lite version of that. I was encouraged by the rockets bahamas workout videos

My thing is give the kid some time, not every rookie is LeBron

also watching this video at the 3:25 mark brings back flashbacks. Hope you are enjoying retirement Bull

Harden looks stronger tbh. But I think Green will be fine.

There’s never gonna be another James harden so this is just dumb. No one is the next James harden. No one is the next KD

Harden was a three point specialist with a full 80s Nba body entering the nba, he added Steve nash’s playmaking skill set to his full-back body, then innovated offense no one had ever seen before. Let’s just stop comparing any player to him

Harden had 40 pounds of pure muscle and bone density over Green as a rookie.

Greens body is similar to Curry's

They both played for the Rockets during their NBA careers.

Ah, yes, how could I have missed it?

Also, they both have hair and wear shoes.

They are basically the same person.

Not even close to the same player.
James Harden could handle ball, he could shoot the ball, he already showed flashes of a high basketball IQ and playmaking.
If we were talking about Doncic then maybe I could see us running those plays.
For Green we need to do the MCW approach... get him as much opportunities as possible to inflate his numbers and then trade him at the end of the end of the season for something we want. Sell high and not low.

The fact that the biggest James Harden fan I know has to make this post to stop people ******** on Jalen Green after 4 preseason and 1 regular season game tells you everything you need to know about the current state of Clutchfans.

james harden got threads like these after every game we lost. I like jalen greens mentality tho( give him 2 yrs of being in the weight room and then watch out).

    With trex arms.
He can be mentally strong as much as he wants but he's going to have to change so much of his game because of his limitations. He doesn't have the arms to be an amazing defender.
Curry/klay are the only player I know with a similar build and were successful (curry =6'3 +6'4 wingspan klay =6'6 with a 6'9 wingspan). Short arms and lanky. Curry however has an amazing shooting form and so does klay. Shorter arms also helps with their quick release.
He's not going to be Harden Kobe or Durant. No Iso game for the win for him. He can still be effective but he is going to have to go through screens and move off ball to be successful.
If he doesn't fix that form quickly though he's going to be MCW part 2. Both green and mcw are 6'6 with a 6'7 wingspan.
