He's going to be pretty damn good. We ****ed up. Not saying Green will be bad but Mobley is going to be more impactful. Just using the eye test the NBA doesn't look too fast or big for him and it's like he's playing in college still.
On the other end of the spectrum, Suggs = BUST! 3/14 shooting 1/6 3PT 1 rebound 1 assist 1 steal 3 turnovers Barnes=BUST! 5/13 shooting 0/1 3PT 9 rebounds 6 turnovers Lastly, Cade Cunningham is a mega B-U-S-T! I mean, he didn't play but that also meant he didn't do jack **** either. BUST! 0 points 0 rebounds 0 assists 0 blocks 0 steals
I mean Evan Mobley just posted a historically good stat line in his first game … meanwhile green with a historically bad -37… You love to see it … What happened to all the talk about Mobley needing more time to develop and initially green would be outshining him? Nah we fked up. Green will obviously get much better, but Mobley is a cornerstone for a franchise
Evan Mobley with the -18 being labeled as "historic" is the funniest quip of them all! Too funny. Doom and Gloomers - keep em coming!!
I don't think this thread is updated often enough - what did Mobley do in shootaround today? What did Green do? How do we rank the two? Judgment awaits.
Mobley is apparently Kareem incarnate while Jalen is Matt Maloney! Comparisons changing by the minute though so keep hitting that F5!!
Reminds me of another historic night by a rookie big in his first regular season game: 26 points 10/16 FG 6/6 FT 7 rebounds 2 blocks -17 +/- I wonder what Jahlil is doing right now.....
According to his Wikipedia page he just got waived by the Hawks on 10/11. Guess his historic first game wasn't historic enough.
Even some of his stuff in the preseason has been more impressive. It's one game but the one game showed you flashes and that's what you want. It's not just about reading a stat line. Look at how he literally is moving on the court.
It was a surprise to me too. I hope the kid who turned in a statline of: 7/22 shooting 2/7 3PT FG 2/4 FT 5 rebounds 3 assists 3 turnover -17 +/- in his first NBA regular season game back in 2007 made it out okay.
If we had drafted Mobley we wouldn't have drafted Sengun. We were never drafting Mobley. And credit to the kid, he looked good last night. Barnes, Suggs, Green, Mitchell...not so much. Rockets have much much much bigger issues than whether or not Green/Mobley was the pick at 2.
We could have still drafted Mobley and Sengun. Wasn't the whole mantra talent over fit. Irregradless if we had Wood. We could have just let Olynyk go and not sign Theis. We drafted Christopher, even though we were loaded on guards already. I don't subscribe to the if Mobley then no Sengun thing.
and back to the whole "Evan Mobley did not want to play for Houston" topic. Well he didnt. LOL -- cringe to pine for a guy who didnt want you as a fan.
He ended up being a nobody though some have called him a snake, a cupcake...some have also called him a 2-time champion, MVP and one of the 75 greatest players ever but look at that plus minus though!
