Green1-6 from 3pt and 4-14 FG. Porter 4-12 FG with 9 turnovers. The defense was completely non-existent. This solidified the first loss.

On the positive side, Sengun played pretty solid for 18 min. This guy is going to be a star!

 

Rockets will have more 15 plus point losses than wins.

I agree with you I’m not worried about green. He’ll be fine one way or the other. I am becoming more skeptical of the coaching staff by the minute though. We’ll see how they handle the first couple months. I’m not worried about wins I’m looking for things to get a lot tighter than they were tonight even with all the youngsters. I didn’t see a coherent gameplan tonight and I think a young team needs structure. It just looked like a continuation of pre season and I haven’t seen much growth from the beginning of training camp to now. Honestly I don’t want to be too critical but from what we’ve seen so far it’s starting to look like wood and kpj may have regressed some and if that turns out to be the case more than a couple months through the season Stone needs to take a hard look at giving Silas the boot. Stagnation is bad regression is unacceptable.

I like the court vision. He's no 19 year old Chris Paul but he's got vision to work with. Would love to see the coach actually run some sets to expand on his playmaking.

Looks like a boy amongst men. Shying away from contact and got pushed around on the court. Floaters should be banned if you're under 30 at 6'5", go to the rim. Get that boy some beef and lock him in a weight room for a year, does him more good than Silas running around with no scheme.

If we're rebuilding like they say we are then why are we playing old scrubs like Augustin over KJ martin/Christopher or even Armani? **** even Garuba showed alot of promise and none of these guys are getting playing time

Developing young talents? No
Teaching offense system? No
Defense? Lol

Why we hire Silas?

 

Well, this comes as no surprise, we know our defense is a problem and will be for the next few years. It's all about progress and see if a Sengun, Garuba or maybe even one of the guards / wings will step up and be that leader on defense. Once that settles in, Silas gets the players for his style, players become better, then we can be an 6-8th seed in 2-3 years maybe.
