The MLB desperately wants this series to go 7 games, and no way do they want the Astros to advance, this is why I believe that the home plate ump for the next game is going to be Tony Brothers....
Do you remember Carlos Lee riding his hobby horse up and down the dugout? My favorite thing ever was a Julia Morales (I think it was her) interview with the guys at the Conoco HR Pump...they, in all seriousness, asked Julia live on air if Carlos Lee could ride his stick pony around the bases the next time he hit a HR. "Uhhhhh...no that's not going to happen" "But it would BE SO F'ING COOOOL!!! CABALLLLOOO!!! RIGHT???" "Uh no, I think they'll keep it in the dugout."
Are you seriously asking this question??? 1) Alvarez already smacked Sale hard the first two times he faced him (going yard and off the green monster). 2) first base was open with one out and if you walk him it sets up double play to get out of the inning. 3) Correa's first two at bats Sale had him looking lost. Any Mgr (or let me say any Mgr that didn't have his head shoved up his @$$) would have intentionally walked Yordan in that situation.
It was hard to hear them with the Red Sox fans yelling “YANKEES SUCK” and “J-LO, J-LO, J-LO” at A-Rod the whole time, lol. Gotta give the Red Sox fans credit for their energy even after a crushing loss.
Let's not forget that White Sox pitcher who accused the Astros of @#$@$ at home. The Stros is averaging 7 runs a game at Fenway, we scored 21 runs in 3 games. At Minute Maid against the Red Sox, 5 runs a game, we scored 10 runs in 2 games. Another fact they don't remember we scored more on the road than at home, this postseason.
Heh. I was at Fenway for game 3 (I sure picked the wrong one!). Most of the fans there were ok, but there’s always one or two! My wife got an entire beer spilled down her back on the 2nd inning Grand Slam. Supposedly an accident, but coincidentally it was the same guy yelling “**** Altuve” and “TRASH CAN” the whole game. I was tempted to start chanting “APPLE WATCH” in return, but I’m not sure he was bright enough to get the reference!
I have a feeling this year is the Astros revenge tour. White Sox were beaten to avenge for 2005. Now we have to beat the Red Sox to avenge for 2018. Hopefully Braves finally.
I normally do post in the game threads but have some family stuff going on. My father had cancer surgery and then totally unrelated to the cancer surgery he developed a blood clot in his leg. At the same time my brother and his wife got COVID.
