Poole had some moments last year, but I really hope JG is better.
I’ll grant you Poole had a nice preseason, and there is some buzz about him now. But projections around the draft were that Moody (a rookie) would be ahead of him in the rotation. Maybe he makes a leap. But no way last year’s Poole with some incremental improvement is better than this year’s ROY, whoever that ends up being. Either Poole makes the leap or this class really sucks.

 

You are really undervaluing 2 years of NBA experience. That is the only reason Poole would have a hypothetical shot at rookie of the year. The top of this year's class definitely has more upside than Poole. It's just they have no NBA game experience. That is a severe disadvantage.

No way! You’re way undervaluaing top rookie campaigns. Absolutely no way Jordan Poole now wins ROY over the likes of Lamelo, Ja, Luca, Donovan Mitchell/Ben Simmons in their rookie years. Now, if he makes a major leap, maybe, but that’s still a huge hypothetical.

But that’s like saying, say Aaron Holiday - who was in his 3rd year last year and is a nice player - would have won over Lamelo last year

The tennis match should be fun. When Green goes off and has good games it will turn into "well he needs to do it for a full season har har har"

 

Green can be streaky so there will be games where it looks like he can't miss from 3 which will open up the lane for him. I imagine threads will be bumped haha
