Very happy to have a man with Integrity in the White House, too bad he insists on trying to play ball like they did when he was in the Senate instead of hammering McConnel into submission, but that is his way, and the country is better off with him there. DD
That’s not good though , because colleges will counter by increasing tuition immensely to counter the lost payments on loans. this generation needs to sack up and quit racking up debt to live large. Pay your loans back. It’s called responsibility.
The heck are you talking about? The colleges have already been paid. It’s the government that won’t be getting paid back. Forgiving student loans is akin to cutting taxes it’s just the government forgoing future revenue.
https://www.usatoday.com/story/opin...dent-loans-bad-for-america-column/4840537001/ It should be uncontroversial to insist that American citizens 18 or older are adults who are responsible for what they bought when they signed, as the line from "Glengarry Glen Ross" goes, “on the line which is dotted.”
That can be argued. I was refuting your incorrect assertion that the colleges will seek higher tuition due to not receiving loan payments.
Probably not. Unlike Trump, Biden isn't bad mouthing firefighters and their efforts. We've made some progress in our battle against forest fires in the prevention and technology used to combat them.
trumps america ended in an insurrection where his supporters assaulted cops and tried to overthrow our government. we now have an entire political party that is a personality cult who rejects basic facts and science.
i graduated from UT and my entire college career cost me less than $10k so I never had to take out loans. my last semester at UT cost me $1600 and that was a major increase from the previous semester. i get the notion that people who took out loans should have known what they were getting themselves into, but at the same time the system itself is taking advantage of students and also the cost of college has gone up 400-500% in the last 20 years. we in texas can thank our republican overlords for deregulating the cost of tuition back in 2003.
