My guess in going all in with framber and Garcia being available is all the pitchers that pitched yesterday go tomorrow. Plus gravemen and or pressley
Aside from Lance he has the most experience of anyone who would probably feel comfortable addressing the team. I am assuming Greinke isn't comfortable giving locker room talk.
I recall he had some arm issues that were difficult for him and was considering retirement. He got a good offer from Tampa and lives in Florida. It’s not clear how much he wanted to be back in Houston (not that he dislikes Houston just that he might have retired if he couldn’t pitch closer to home).
He wanted to retire and Tampa gave him a 2 year 30 million dollar contract…. Since then he hasn’t wanted to retire. He makes 20 million in 2022
He lives outside Tampa which was definitely a factor. He also hasn’t had shoulder issues since then. I’d rather he stayed with the Astros too, but it was far from certain at the time he would be healthy and it’s not like the 2019 Astros were short of pitching.
We were afraid he wouldn’t hold up and at the time Forest Whitney was about to make his MLB splash. That didn’t happen and we traded for Grienke.
Either way, I'm happy for him and even better that he's taking down the dodgers...AGAIN...that team that can't win it when it's a real season.
If I hear this laundry cart thing one more time I'm going to snap. It's one thing for announcers to talk about it...but to have promo's on it before every single game they play is annoying.
Well boys when we take this thing back to Houston up 3-2, imagine how pissed off the Boston Fans will be. It’s gonna happen.
