Moderna owns It's some BS saying all the vaccines are the same That's like saying Ben Simmons free throw shooting is the same as everyone else @Jontro
It's just a much larger dose This was an interesting watch, and it is curious that a number of countries are putting restrictions/recommendations against Moderna for younger people, that the FDA is putting delays on its approval for younger people, who have strong immune systems (and reactions). The larger dose is obviously effective, so it perhaps does own for older people, but the benefits might not outweigh the risk in comparison to taking Phizer for young people.
Of course, but it's not the same vaccine. There's this stupid narrative that it's 'the vaccine' because people in general are ben simmons what's the 'vaccine' in China? or Russian? or UK? it's not the same 'vaccine'(s) that are here. Yeah Moderna has more side effects and more reactions because it's a stronger dose. That's why their booster show is half their normal shot while Pfizer's 3rd shot is exactly the same as their original. if you lived in Russia, you sure you want that Sputnik Vaccine??
I was thinking of it in the context of American vaccines (mostly in comp to Phizer). I couldn't tell you what I'd do if I lived in Russia, that would be a different life. Do I as American Nick want a Chinese or Russian vaccine? No. But I can tell you that half of my family is 1st generation in America, coming from Uruguay. In Uruguay, they got the Chinese vaccine and have fairly high vaccine rates, so you never know what your willingness to take a vaccine would be, if you were born into a different life, in a different place, as a different person.
My coworker from Russia said that Sputnik works it’s just Russian people are not paying for the antibody test needed before getting the free shot. And the Russians used it for PR but have vastly underdelivered on orders especially in Central America. If Sputnik was all that I had available, I’d take it.
Good things there are 3 options and soon, 6 combinations with the mix and matching of vax that FDA is about to give a green light to. RNA mixed with Adenovirus vector vaccines might even provide the best protection. Since there was a bottleneck early on, you just get what you can. Now you can be a bit more picky. Perhaps higher dose for older and those with weaker immune system. Std dose for nearly everyone else. Low dose for kids. J&J for those that faint at the sight of a needle.
dude we got plenty of non-Americans here. Look all the trolls we got from China who call our news 'State Media'
Just saw on the news the Chicago Police Commissioner say that all shifts have been fully staffed and that 8 of 10 Chicago LEO have been vaccinated.
