Is it weird that my gut says the plan is to do a reverse-Belichick and have the GM take over as HC when he's signing the players he wants and has a draft or two under his belt? I couldn't shake the feeling after seeing how he looked up in the box next to RAC. And he loves to coach.

    You mean reverse O'Brien.

That would be another disaster. No Thanks.

How many years u gonna give him b4 u judge him? I already don't like this gm just for allowing the religious charlatan still hanging around.

Both easterby and BoB (cancer to the franchise) vouch for him so not a great sign

How do you know that is his decision? I get him being hired signaled easterby would not be fired but how do you know the McNair's didn't make that a stipulation for all gms

Did u not see the countless articles during offseason of how easterby lobby hard for caserio to save his own ass? If there was a stipulation by our dumbass owner easterby could give a fk who gets hired as gm.

I see that Easterby finally allowed Nick to cut Andre Roberts and Whitney Merciless. Thanks Jack.

I guess its cool the staff thinks Greenard deserves more snaps. This team is dying for someone to show up on defense. Omenihu should also no longer be a healthy inactive?

Feel like the youth movement needs to get started. I know more than half the season is left, but I'm not seeing any signs of veteran "culture"

    Busy, can't listen:

What does he say about restructuring and cutting him now vs cutting him last offseason?

Still it doesn't mean we can say for sure that he wants easterby on the team just knows his job was linked to him not getting rid of easterby. Would firing me even the GM decision? Not sure how the Texans hierarchy goes

    Texans hierarchy
Cal (easterby whispering in his ear)
Caserio, man task to clean up BoB mistake.
    Fall guy = culley

Make no mistake cal with easterby's influence has the final say in all decisions regardless what some folks tell u.

What would change by firing Easterby now? Nothing. Easterby makes the personnel decisions. Easterby is just a target for fans to vent at...which maybe good for Caserio.

I'd just point out that you said the exact same thing before and after Caserio was hired.

A good rule of thumb for newcomers to the Texans thread, generally anyone that scarface loves defending is incompetent as fk and should b fired.

Easterby is there because Cal wants him there. As long as that doofus is the owner this is going to be the case. Welcome to Detroit Lions hell...

Which is exactly why I can't blame Nick for easterby being on this team
