What can you expect? The devastation of the staff exploding isn't going to be lost on the other players. F**king staff killing everything.

I'm serious when I ask this. Has there ever been a worse performance in the history of the MLB playoffs where a teams starters in the first three games of a series went 2.2 IP, 1.0 IP, and 1.2 IP??

Bye bye Carlos.... That money needs to go to pitching.... My goodness.

Hopefully we can get some big hits going to make it a game again.

They just dont look like they have moxie anymore. All deflated. I have a little bit of hope but it's that dumb and dumber one in a billion chance kind of hope. They know they dont have pitching either

I was going to say put Castro. Sure Maldonado is good on defense but what good is that if they're still scoring a bunch? Start Castro, hope you have a lead late in the game and perhaps sub in Maldonado.

Astros are at a disadvantage by having an auto out with Maldonado. This dude should not even swing and try to work the walk every time.

Bregman has not been the same since the scandal broke. Its very obvious in his numbers and his flat line demeanor on the field.

hope he hits one out tonight to shut me up.

It’s only Game 3, but damn does this team look finished. Usually in the regular season these kinds of bad stretches would be limited to 1 or 2 games. You have to hope that holds true in this series and that someone shows up to pitch.

We already knew the bullpen was not good and now our starting pitching has gone to Hades. My goodness. You just can't give out walks like that.

One thing about Houston sports, when we lose, it's either by heartbreaking buzzer beater, choking, or getting blown out

That may be true, but if our payroll is increasing while our starting pitching is getting worse, then the question needs to be asked: who is making the decisions on our free agents?

Using Cal McNair as a whipping boy is easy, because he is clearly incompetent Billy Madison type who is in way over his head. Also, football has a hard salary cap, so it is a bad comparison in any respect.

Fact is, Crane has has not shown that he is willing to sign big money players in FA. To get top notch starting pitching that is what you will have to do, unless you have a great farm system that just breeds arms, or you just hope to get lucky signing middling arms, guys who go 12-5 and the like. In other words, Lance McCullers.

This organization owes it to Altuve, Bergman, Gurriel and Correa to get the quality starters needed to win another series. The way the things are going, 2017 will be our last title for awhile.

BTW, I hope I am wrong.

Altuve is a net negative player on the field for the Astros...

He was coming up looking like one of MLB's golden boys. Had Papi calling him "the Big Stud". Now he's booed everywhere and his ring is tarnished to those outside Houston. That has to have an effect imo.
