I look at it this way. We may have not won this game regardless who we threw out there with Eovaldi pitching.

Losing a game 9-0 or 2-0 is still one loss. Hopefully, we just matched up our worst 2 pitchers in our lineup with their best giving us a shot with Urquidy and Greinke/Javier to take Games 3 and 4.

I've been watching baseball for years and even played as a kid for minute there but man but it always trips me out when guys are on base, this is a destruction, and Altuve is over there laughing it up with the guy on 2nd.

I'd be super salty talking to any of these guys right now.

Unreal that a supposed starting pitcher in the big leagues can be this bad. With garcia it’s understandable, but Jake is a vet and it looks like every pitch he throws is gonna get hammered

It is just one game and the Stros better think that way.

For the fans and the talking heads etc. can obsess about how much of an ass kicking this was but if the Stros have any hope of winning this series they have to forget this game.

when i see stuff like this it gives me faith though. if champions like Altuve and Correa aren't pressed after/during a shellacking, why should I be pressed? That's the way I see it.

 

Jake is our sacrificial lamb today. I don’t care if he goes 120+ pitches and the Red Sox score another 10 runs on him. Their hitters will get tired, eventually.
