It's magnified now that we're facing a possible 1-1 series heading into Boston. He really would've helped in Game 3.
You can hate on my opinions all you want. I post what I see. Luis faked an injury to leave after an embarrassing showing. We needed him to eat innings in this L
This is a good example of the game the Astros should not pull out all the stops to try to win for the next few innings. Run Odorizzi out there either until his arm falls off or the Astros make it close. If he gives up 10 runs, so be it. But the Astros have to not waste key pitchers early in a game they are unlikely to win - obviously if the offense goes off in the next several innings, you change gears. But later in the series, opponents having seen good bullpen pitchers over and over is a disaster, so trying too hard to win this game could hurt their chances of winning the series.
Hey you never know in baseball, sometimes guys surprise in the postseason. Maybe Odorizzi comes through.
I wish the Astros were pulling these antics in Boston because those people up there would lose their damn minds
They could have warmed up any reliever in minutes, sent him out for 4 outs or so, no reason to do this for Odorizzi. So no, this theory is bullsh!t.
