Garcia has been mediocre for awhile but what exactly was Dusty gonna do? Makes more sense to have him pitch at home and Urquidy on the road. Maybe should’ve thought about a 3 inning Grenkie start?

Idk but this was very predictable. No one alive had any reason but to expect Garcia to struggle against a lineup as good as Boston’s.

Maybe we should have gone Greinke today? This stage is too big for the rookie Garcia.

It is not just the runs given. He did not look comfortable at all in the first innings.

Lets see how the second will go

Yes, but that’s less about this rotation being bad and more about the others being great.

Maldonado and Strom need to get the kids to throw strikes. Trust your stuff. Walks are death. Getting behind in the count even worse.

He looks uncomfortable pitching from the stretch, for sure.

It's the walks that are killing Garcia lately and already 2 in the first inning. He just doesn't seem to have any confidence in his stuff.

Garcia was the right move today, it just hasn’t so far worked out. He can settle down and rack up a few innings to make up for that **** first.

true , but weve been giving him more rest

his fastball is still hitting 95

not like we have that many other options. it was worth giving him a shot. worth it keeping him out there a bit and seeing if he settles down

Yao Ming would be a pinch runner for Brantley.

The walk to Verdugo was inexcusable. Losing Devers after 0-2 was the same.

That grand slam hurt. We need a 2-3 run to calm it down

Cool our hitters run up the counts but ground out. Going to be that kind of game it seems

Who do you throw the other games? At some point Garcia was going to have to pitch. If you think the state is too big, imagine it at fenway for him.

    Eovaldi doesn’t look amazing either.
