Grugier Hill stands out to me since he was brought in as a coverage LB, and he's flashed that skill a few times. Hoping the team can put together some competitive games so we can see these guys play normally. Getting Tyrod back should help.
On the Miller cut, he probably was caught praying from the wrong angle or something. But I will say that on the deep, double coverage interception where Mills underthrew him, Miller just kinda wandered into the end zone in disbelief, not making any effort to turn around and tackle the guy, even though he was the only Texan around. Not a good looking "football character" play at all.
For the people who think Caserio is done with roster turnover…coaching turnover…and front office shuffling your sadly mistaken. I expect full on continuous blowing up of this organization and franchise top to bottom. Cal Caserio Easterby Are completely cleaning house and it’s going to continue for the foreseeable future.
https://texanswire.usatoday.com/lists/4-assistants-texans-target-replace-david-culley/ O’Connell Daboll Graham Quinn In that order if I had to pick
Yeah. I think they keep Culley until they have a couple of good drafts under their belt, unless they get a haul for Watson. If they get players and picks for Watson that might hasten his departure.
There is a difference between Culley and Porter. Porter never embraced analytics. Culley is onboard with Caserio is doing.
Regardless of analytics, Porter was a crappy game manager. So far Culley has been mediocre at best with in game decision making.
It's a great comparison. Nice guys and good coaches who are completely out of their element as the head mofo in charge.
While I'm still not sure why we hired Culley, I'd be surprised if he was replaced after one year. With that said, O'Connell is interesting and Daboll has done a great job with Allen. Don't really want Quinn and don't know much about Graham. If we trade DW and get value, I could see Culley being replaced after a second year of losing.
Yeah, I think they brought him in, because none of these real "up and coming" coaches wanted anything to do with this level of a rebuild. But I too FULLY expect, that once we have a good draft or 2, and there are real young players to build around (2-3 years), Culley will take his large salary and ride off into the sunset...
