ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Spurs 10/15/2021 (Preseason)

If you move the ball and miss open shots you don't get assists in the box score.

Watching the game they were just missing open looks.

We're going to struggle, but I just want to see the players develop and progress over the season and seasons.

As well as draft well with our picks and moves in the coming seasons.

 

Got outcoached tonight. Seems like a complete directionless offense and defense. I hope it is what Silas says it is, just observing players individually and not setting up any plays for preseason. Because if this continues then Silas will be gone quick.

 

That's the bottom line.

 

On my way home from work (getting my dinner at Taco Bell). Should I watch the whole game or just the highlights? Trying not to read much of the game thread for spoilers.

 

Harden is a savant because of talent + countless hours of hoop.

He hoops all year round.

 

Only watch the parts where Sengun is on the floor, everything else sucked

 

Based off the presseason games..my over reaction is Sengun has been the most impressive big in these past 4 games. I truly believe he can be a star in this league.

Jalen will be fine too, I like the fact he was able to make adjustments in the same game by being more aggressive in the 3rd. His quick step is crazy good but as of now he looks like is a streaky shooter. Which is fine because when he is on, he will be lights out.

Man the Rockets should really go ahead and start off the game really young with Sengun, Green, and KPJ, they can handle it minutes wise.

 

No doubt. At age 19 he wasn't the guy he is now. But he was a better playmaker then than Green is now, hands down. I don't expect Green to reach Harden's level at anything, honestly. Dude is beyond compare.

I think KPJ is the playmaker of the two, Green the scorer. They'll each do a bit of both but will have their own strengths. We'll see if he figures it out.

 

Btw Sengun was matched up with Poeltl tonight, one of the best defenders and shot blocking big men in the league.

 

I still don’t think Silas is the answer.

 

We got a 19yr old Luis Scola from turkey, a true lottery pick, wht else do we expect now, nothing but giving scoot, jg, jaygup n garuba more time to grow n prove themselves.

When has Scola ever passed or blocked shots like this?

 

Feels like McHale except we don't have Harden this time.

 

I still find it funny that some peopel thought or expected to a bunch of 19 year olds to come in and dominate not just the season but the preseason too LMAO. People actually mad that rookies are playing like rookies lol

 

I really hope KPJ works out but hes been having bad body language all preseason which is concerning.
