Segun need to start. Theis should come off the bench like he always has.

 

Theis can sub for Garuba.

I've seen enough of him this preseason, play the kids.

 

The NBA had to get back on track with their season. If you all recall the restart pushed the season out further and they've been playing catch up since then. Last year was a shortened season and this year they have a shortened pre-season so they can get back to their normal schedule.

 

No the length of pre-season is normal.

The NBA changed the regular season start date a few years ago, to reduce number of back-to-back games across the league, remember?

that doesn’t explain why we only played 4 games, but the length of pre-season and the reg season start date is back to normal.

We were the worst team last year. No one should be guaranteed a starting spot.

Give starting spots based on performance from games this year.

Sengun has earned it so far with his preseason play. If Theis plays better than Sengun he can have it.

If not, he can keep the bench warm and watch Sengun become a rising star in this league.

 

Still can't get to my psychic, but it is my 10 year wedding anniversary today, so I think that we will win. Mrs. 2000 agrees. Go Rockets!

nobody should be a starter except if he plays with PJ tenacity... Silas made this team too much relaxed...their professionalism is a joke

Obviously nobody on this team can play defense like PJ. But they can put in just as much effort and care on the defensive side of the ball as he did.

And if they do it absolutely should be rewarded.

I beg to differ as he's had All Star talent, only to be hammered by a couple of major injuries. EG's gone through what it's taken to battle back, AND accepted a lesser role...only to have it expanded. (cutting down efficiency and increasing chance of injury) Also, he's played both ways. The definition of a consummate pro. ( griping about calls/trade deadline "injuries" notwithstanding) A tailor made player for our youngins to learn from. Now, in the twilight of his career, don't let your short term feelings obscure his contributions.

dribble off their feet?
not know how to throw a lob pass?

take 10 3s per game despite shooting poorly from 3?

I dont think so... trade him ASAP

 

This isn't NBA 2K.

You should know better. It's off the court..preparation & focus....routine. Overcoming adversity.

Don't let yourself be blinded to his contributions over the course of his career here, and what he can still impart until he's dealt.
