My gut feeling is that all these press leaks about how great House is and how he fits in Rockets future, MVP etc... are desperate attempts by Stone to drum-up some interest. I hope I am wrong, will be disappointed if Stone is that transparent, other GMs will sniff him out quickly. But the sitch reminds me a bit of the Oladipo's leaks before the trade deadline...
My money's on Exum being waived , I believe he'd only cost them $2.5m as the other half of the contract is incentives that he obviously wouldn't reach.
The difference between Simmons & That guy you on the Warriors is one of them buys into his role , the other wants to run ****. Simmons would be great at that role - IF he would buy into it - He wont.
FYI, Exum's deal is totally non-guaranteed, so the Rockets would not take any sort of dead cap hit if they waived him. Still, I like that contract (and have always been intrigued by Exum's skillset), so I'd rather see a trade happen.
On that contract , its very similar to the one Morey tried to give Nene a few years back and the league shot down .... Funny they approved this one. It is literally a TPE.
I also think Simpson doesnt have the toughness and the mental make up of Draymond. Not even close to being the same guy.
