He hasn't had bad outings, but he really hasn't faced but one 500 club. It's the most pathetic 3.16 ERA I can remember.

 

Don’t fear Sale at all. He’s always been crap in the playoffs just look at that last start. Unlike the Killer Bs teams this squad hits even elite pitching.

I feel like Cora is pitching Eovaldi in game 2 so he has a better chance of winning that game against Garcia. Then they can get a split and go back to Boston for 3 games.

 

I'm sure that's the theory. A lot of baseball to be played between now and game 3.

 

I could see that with Sale being more unpredictable.

 

crazy strategy. Sale hasn’t been good. We get to sale early and get into their pen…. That puts a ton of pressure on Evaldi to go 6/7 innings.

 

Please don’t ask why I started the Latest Bill Simmons podcast, it was honestly to just hear more discussion over the “check swing” from last night but it was actually him just discussing the Red Sox and facing Mookie in the world Series. His tales on the Astros are such a joke and of course Cora is the Angel and no mention of the Sox cheating woes. Jesus this set me off this morning, I’ll never listen again. Just know he has the Sox already in and thinks Tampa was the best team, all bow to the mighty dodgers.

Looks like they swapped out some pitching to have more left handers.

 

No McCullers on the ALCS roster. That is so tough. Not sure there's a player, besides maybe Correa, who I'd want to lose less for the playoffs.

Astros now announced. Lance and Stubbs are out. Odorrizi and Taylor are in.

Probably means Lance won't be pitching in the WS even if the Astros make it there

 

I want the Astro to come out and say officially that McCullers will be fine for next season.

I’m holding out hope that if we advance that McCullers can pitch in the World Series in some capacity.

 

All the initial rumors said the issue wasn't a long term one. I'm not currently worried about it, but yes it would be nice to hear an explanation.

 

Right or wrong, I thought we had an advantage with Lance and a bad Sale. A slight advantage with no Lance and a bad Sale. But about even with no Lance and a good Sale.

Really hope Sale is bad.

 

Sale isn’t going to be great. He is not the same pitcher.

 

The Astros also hit him pretty hard back in 2017/2018.

 

Price surprised us in '18.... hopefully the offense comes through in a big way this series and defense is rock solid to bolster the diminished pitching staff.
