You guys are the ones that fall for the fluff after all facts are laid out in these articles. It could say 100% of vaccinated people are having complications followed by but a DR says it’s temporary and will go away soon the vaccines are safe and you all would go “ see Dr says their safe” der de der.
Like blindly following that EVERY death where the deceased tests positive is counted as A COVID death?
Nope.... if qualified medical folks were saying that, I'd believe that. Ironically, the vast, vast majority of qualified medical folks are saying the vaccine is safe, yet you don't believe that. Odd that you'd use that as an example.
The only person taking the possum seriously is the possum...and apparently, the guy who coaches badlee...
Even these stupid debates are spilling over to Nextdoor of all places. Some dude tried to intel-lecturize that they okay with some vaccines, but not them newfangled MRNA vax. So I'm like you took the Johnson n Johnson instead then... Nah, it's about Murca, principles n freedom not to do what others tell you to do. I don't know why I don't mute the whole damn app.
I heard the head of the Chicago PD union telling his officers to resist reporting their vaccination status and requirements for vaccination. COVID-19 in the last year and half has been the leading cause of death among LEO more than four times LEO have died from COVID-19 than from gunfire in the same period. For those how claim "Blue Lives Matter" and "Back the Blue" should be doing all they can to to encourage LEO to get vaccinated. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/10/12/us/police-covid-vaccines.html Hundreds of Police Officers Have Died From Covid. Vaccines Remain a Hard Sell. Far more law enforcement officers in the U.S. have died from Covid-19 than from any other work-related cause in 2020 and 2021. Even so, police unions are fighting vaccine mandates. ... More than 460 American law enforcement officers have died from Covid-19 infections tied to their work since the start of the pandemic, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page, making the coronavirus by far the most common cause of duty-related deaths in 2020 and 2021. More than four times as many officers have died from Covid-19 as from gunfire in that period. There is no comprehensive accounting of how many American police officers have been sickened by the virus, but departments across the country have reported large outbreaks in the ranks. While the virus has ravaged policing, persuading officers to take a vaccine has often been a struggle, even though the shots have proven to be largely effective in preventing severe disease and death. Some elected officials say police officers have a higher responsibility to get vaccinated because they are regularly interacting with members of the public and could unknowingly spread the virus. The debate echoes concerns from earlier in the pandemic, when police officers in some cities resisted wearing masks in public. Yet as more departments in recent weeks have considered requiring members to be vaccinated, officers and their unions have loudly pushed back, in some cases threatening resignations or flooding systems with requests for exemptions. ... Yet as more departments in recent weeks have considered requiring members to be vaccinated, officers and their unions have loudly pushed back, in some cases threatening resignations or flooding systems with requests for exemptions. Law enforcement and union officials cited disinformation, misleading claims by prominent conservatives and distrust in how vaccines were developed as reasons that some officers had resisted getting shots; many other Americans cite the same factors. But some officials theorized that the daily dangers of police work may also make an invisible virus seem less of a hazard, and vaccination less high a priority, for the police. Sheriff John Mina of Orange County, Fla., said that officers deal with “violent criminals all the time carrying guns, and I think they think that may be more of a threat.” Sheriff Mina, who is vaccinated, brought in a doctor to answer deputies’ questions about the vaccines, and offered three days off to those who got shots. But the last time the department checked, about 45 percent of employees who responded to a survey were still not vaccinated. Sheriff Mina said he opposed mandates, and worried that requiring shots could cause an exodus to agencies in neighboring communities. ... Several of the most recent deaths have been reported in young officers: Freddie Castro, 23, of the Overland Park, Kan., police; Joseph Kurer, 26, of the Fond du Lac, Wis., police; Jennifer Sepot, 27, of the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., police. The vaccination status of most of the deceased officers has not been made public. While some breakthrough infections of vaccinated people result in death, a vast majority of Americans hospitalized with or dying from Covid-19 are unvaccinated. Chuck Wexler, the executive director of the Police Executive Research Forum, which advises departments on best practices, said unions and police department leaders have frequently failed to reach agreement on mandates for officers. About 68 percent of American adults are fully vaccinated, though rates vary widely from state to state. “If this was cops getting shot on the streets of America today at this number, there would be outrage,” Mr. Wexler said of Covid-19’s toll among officers. “This is an issue that begs for leadership and putting politics aside. And that’s exactly the opposite of what’s happening right now.”
My cop friend is anti-vax. Didn't hate pro horse de-wormer pr. Admits HPD shoots more dogs than anyone. Good luck.
I saw a recent poll that shows parent support for vaccinating kids against infectious diseases remains roughly the same today compared to 1 year ago (60 yes to 30 no). Overall (non-parent included), Ind (55 vs 30) has gone down about 5 points. Dem (85 vs 10) has gone up about 5 points. Republican support has dropped 15 points from 60% to 45%, with no up about 9 points and not sure about 6 points. Fox News and conservative radio are doing a great job.
