They aren't sitting a 20 game winner. They are just not having him pitch the first inning - he'll pitch the same amount of innings he would have otherwise. They'll just have someone different to face the first inning. It may backfire, but the whole "opener" thing happens all the time in modern MLB. I think I heard LA did it with Urias last year too in a game 7.
Gotta say, it’s nice having Tyler Bauer no where to be seen in the playoffs. Wonder what he’s up to and if he’ll ever pitch again.
Welp, with the way the Giants are hitting, that's probably ball game. This Giants offense is giving me serious 90s Astros flashbacks, and not in a good way.
Anything can happen. Maybe they suffer a major injury as well. Also didn't most have Astros winning and not giving the Nationals a shot and unfortunately we know how that ended.
I would love to see the Dodgers lose this game but a part of me kinda wants them to face the Astros in the world series if we make it that far.
I think people are overlooking the Braves. Since the trade deadline they have been on a tear like the Nats a few years ago ended the regular season.
I feel you. I just want the Dodgers to lose as soon as possible. Losing to the Giants would be amazing: Total Dodger Meltdown.
