This is an unofficial copy cat thread. Its also bad luck. @Josh Smith broke this news twice already but cf rejected the blessing. If we lose then its on castor now
Yeah, WTF is that stupid take. No, the real thread was made AFTER we had won the ALDS. Not before. Don't send me ALCS ticket links on Monday up 2-1 facing game 4 on the road, and don't create threads before they are official. I don't care if we are up 3-0 in a series, and up 12-0 in game 4. I don't play that jinx **** in the freaking baseball playoffs. The Astros were good enough to overcome the obnoxious, attention-whoring, troll thread. We don't need any repeat offenses. Dude should be banned through the end of November just to be safe.
This series is going to be very bittersweet for me. In February I lost one of my best friends. She was originally from New England and grew up a huge Red Sox fan and with me from Texas a huge Stros fan. The past few years we would go see either the Red Sox or the Stros playing the Twins at Target Field and of course we watched the 2017 and 2019 playoff series giving each other crap about how the games went. During the pandemic we had talked about taking a trip to New England when we could travel again and catch a game at Fenway. As much as I will be rooting for the Stros it will be sad without my friend even though she would be rooting for the Red Sox.
So sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. I'm sure you just enjoying the series and thinking of her would have meant something to her. If it were me, I'd love to know that my friends thought of me when they did the things we used to enjoy doing together. I'm not a religious person, myself, but I think we keep those we've lost alive in some small way when we do that.
This is actually way better news than I was expecting. Having him for the World Series would be huge. If he somehow came back in time for Game 1, that would be incredible. Now just focus and get through Boston first—even without Lance, they're the more talented baseball team.
Don’t you have to go Garcia for game 2? He’s so much better at home and it would set him up to pitch 2 home games if necessary.
